i did a 4th gen with a b16a itr cams ported head balanced bottom end sri full exhaust 15" rims and the best we got in october was a 14.01 99mph.... loosing the 17 inch rims is the first step in going faster.

Ive seen a stock b16 with lsd in a EF9 do a 14.7 but over all it should be in the low to mid 15's. Ive hit a 15.63 in a 96 coupe si stock suspension, exhaust and 185-65-14 steel rims and the car has 300000km on it lol.

eg + b16a2 + itr cams = 14.4.

If your b16 + b16 tranny is running mid 15's then there is a problem..

Your basically saying your si is just a little bit slower than a sir.

Maybe i guess there is a problem, The Driver. Ive been to the track only once with this swap and only had 3 runs. I think there's still a bit of improvement but i really need to change my exhaust cause it still has the stock cat and exhaust that came with the d16y8 and this car has over 300,000km.

et 14.15 95mph

I ran a best et of 14.15 with an Ef hatch b16a, itr cams, stock header, mugen chip cpu, with slicks. 60 foot was a 1.9. Regular 14'' rims, cheap tires 14.4 all day. Its all about the little things, take the head light for fresh air, mix some race fuel, not all 02 will mess up, street tires put tire pressure to 12 pounds or even 9. load the clutch on take off, and dump the exhaust at the back if u can.

u didn't even give enough details...

Car? Chasis?
Stripeed, full interior? etc?

weight to power ration makes a difference.
A b16 in a EF is big difference then a b16 in a ek let alone ek coupe.

Just race it, theres no point in guessing how fast you are compared to ....

^^^ Knows what he is talking about ! ( Bisi powered is the way to go )

Anyways....
94 Civic coupe Si. D16z6 motor, aem cai, 7lbs flywheel, exedy stage1 race clutch = 15.8 BALD BALD BALD Tires....so BALD that driver side blew up on highway! (185-65-14 GoodYear)

Never ran it with the Jdm D15b or when it was finished with the p&p head etc etc!
Ran a D vtec with zex cam and N.O.S. wet kit to low 13's best on 20x8x14 MT's!

Latest Track set-up :
B16,gs-R lsd,4-1 header,Fidanza fly wheel,2.5" cat back ran Best of 14.6 @ 94MPH
15x7 Advanti on 195/45/15 Nexen 3000's. Tuned on dyno.

New Set-up : Brand new ITR Head, e-cut out (cut out to spec on dyno), adj. gears, some secret head mods, P&B Crank, CTR Crank pulley.... TUNNED....slicks... time ??.?? (TBA)

Now for some points of advice for the original poster :

Lose the 17's ( you can run them on the streets but on the track no no! I personally would not go bigger then 16" on a civic newayz )

Do a full tune up!
Get a good flowing i/h/e ( replica tri-y headers )
Purchase a set of ITR cams or Crower Stage 2 or Zex/Comp Cams! Matched with adj. gears, put in new springs and retainers.... get it tunned should push out 170+whp!
Which will net u a really low 14 on really good street tires.... or.....
Get the proper Camshafts and slap on a Nitrous kit (50wetshot) will run low low 13's!
Get your car tuned! I only trust / recomend SPLITFIRE

I would call it torqueless but not slow........Most Honda engines can go fast if rubbed the right way.

What kind of Dohc killer engine do you have that costs $500?????
Just curious.

beg to differ..... although they are the greatest for torque I am putting down just over 160 to the wheels with only head work done as I am not sure about the bottom end yet.
