I wonder what is the real selling price in JAPAN vs the stated importer inflated price before the usual mark ups.

My thoughts exactly. That price is before shipping overseas. Which adds another $1000 onto the price (RORO). Now you need to get it to Toronto that's another $1000 (I think) searail from Vancouver. $13k now and it's not including registration and whatever it needs for a safety check. Sure the car may look clean, however it's 15+ yrs old.

The real question is what is the original selling price in JPN for that vehicle? I highly doubt it's the stated price with that importer.

Yes I understand what your trying to say that is a good deal. However do you really think the selling price in Japan is really 10K for a 15+ yr old car?
