personally importing a crx or civic or something that is available here in canada is stupid. if your gonna import something import something thats not available here and start a trend. an i dont mean a skyline either, there available here now too for jesus sakes, i swear everyones got one or selling one, there over rated aswell.
also if its for the low km's and mint old school car , find a mint old school car and spit out the cash and get a low km motor to go with it, now you have a mint old school car with low km's.????? not that hard is it?

I honestly can't believe this thread is still going...
1. That crx is as mint as you will EVER find one..RHD or LHD doesn't matter
2. RHD makes the car rare..in Canada
3. The price in Japan is not as cheap as some people think
4. The price in Canada shouldn't be as expensive as some people ask (myself included at one point)
5. Compared to what dealers sell and what they ask..11000 is a good price if the car has aftermarket rims and is road ready...just yesterday I saw a 92 hatch in Edmonton for $11900..so yeh
6. RHD cars are as dangerous as the person behind the wheel
7. Doesn't matter if you get a skyline, silvia, rx-7, aristo, soarer, 300zx, civic, cr-x, delsol, figaro, delica, land cruiser, pajero or any other friggin car from Japan...the price will not be cheap because like Rob said...it all about mint condition and low mileage.
8. The guy who paid $6000 for his with 124k, expect to spend a bit more to get it on the road...but that's a fair buying price
9. Getting your RHD car imported and on the road by yourself is a time consuming and frustrating logistical nightmare. I know from personal experience.
10. Majority if not all imported hondas have b16 motors which here if installed at a shop can run you $2800-$3500 total installed so at $6000 for a mint car like that...nothing to cry about

car came with papers so it didnt cost anything more to get it on the road... passed safety and e-test no problem. all i had to do was get a certified translator to translate the title into english $60. go to honda dealership and get them to verify that vin number on title/export form 1 matched vin number on car = free. thats it. the price of the car included taxes to get it across the border.
