Semperit speed grip winter tires
#2
It's just like any other winter tire...none of them will give you perfect traction anyways and even no-names like magnagrip etc are all made by Goodyear or Continental anyways (it usually says in the small print directly on the tire. I wouldn't spend a lot for winter tires...best winter tires I ever had were $49 each MagnaGrip (made by Goodyear) from Walmart....or you can by Nokian Hakkapeliitta's for like almost $150 each that will essentially do the exact same thing...bottom line with winter tires is if you want grip, get studded tires....but they are illegal here so tires are tires, they are pretty much all the same

I have 4 Semperit SPORT-GRIP winter tires and honestly....i rocked them all of last SUMMER on track days (Dunnville and Shannonville) and they were amazing for dry and wet traction.
I took them off for the winter and put on Michelin X-ice tires though, as the first snow fall last year I hit the brakes with the Semperit tires and the ABS went nuts with barely any brake input.
Anyways, turns out it was very icey out, which the semperits didnt like///they work great in the snow though....just not to well on ice.

I've had Nokias, Pirelli's, Dunlops, Toyo's, Canadian Tire, + others and had each for 4 years per set. Yes I'm older
Technology changes so each generation is better than the next. Not looking for 'perfect' but just a general idea.
Yes, they are a smaller company but been around forever. I assumed they'd be decent in the snow, just like the other euros, Gislavids, Nokias etc. Just looking to see if its a cut above CT which happens to be charging more. Tires23 are asking $370 for a set!
Dont think I'll be doing an autocross with these.
