2002 SIR VS 2002 RSX Premium

I am looking into get either one of these two cars. They both fall under my budget around $17000.

I was wondering what do you guys think of these two cars. Which one is better in terms of:

1. Performance
2. Control
3. Style
4. Reliablity

I would rather hear more negative review on each car than the positive ones, Thanks everyone.

1. Performance (same to me)
2. Control (same to me)
3. Style (RSX)
4. Reliablity (same to me)

So, RSX

^^^ I agree.

Why own a civic when you can have an RSX?

I have a 03 SIR and my friend has a 03 RSX Premium. Same engine but I believe SIR is lighter. As insurance wise, my friend pay more than me and he is 1 yr older. They dont have a category for SIR for insurance and even for Ministry of Transportation when you do the document exchange (6% tax). So right now I pay SI insurance rate. I claim to buy my car for 12000 when I really pay for 18000 just because they dont have a market vaule listed.

That's a good question. I was bored at work so I did a rough quote and the Civic SiR costs more. The amount varies with the company.

Sorry to post agian. I would buy the RSX premium for the resell value. But I would pick for SIR for cheaper maintence at Honda then at Acura.

You can't service a RSX at Honda?

I think I'll be the only one here to pick the Civic over the Acura, and the reason is the way the Civic looks. IMO the Civic looks better and is more versatile than the Acura. As far as the items you are looking for here is how I rank them:

1. Performance - same
2. Control - same
3. Style - Honda is better
4. Reliablity - same

OBVIOUSLY the SiR

honestly, I hated selling mine.. but that's beside the issue, there's just TOO many RSX's on the road, and I'd rather have the uniqueness of a car that not every other person has

Acura = Honda.. same shiet... if you were comparing type-s vs SiR, then ya, prolly Type-S purely based on it's performance... as far as just a civic goes, well, just look at the 8th gens... ya the civic has come a long way, but they'll always be "good cars" IMO

SiR of course... LOL

Performance wise, both have 160 HP, but the RSXs have 140 tq as opposed to the SiRs 132 tq. But I've read somewhere that the SIR actually dynos better than the RSX. Also the SiR has balanced cams, and has the better 1st and 2nd gear ratio.
