something about after 80,000 km in japan they have to get rid of the engine or something like that? im not sure if it has to do with emmisions or not. but when i was talking to other people about swaps they said that a jdm engine has 80,000km or less?

Oh yeah, it has to do with strict emissions regulations in Japan. Remember though, 80,000 Japanese kms is like 200,000 north american kilometers... theirs is ALL CITY traffic, whereas we have a lot of highway driving. I'd rather take a 100K USDM motor than a 80K JDM motor, that's for sure!!
