As the topic states... pricing has been released for the 2004 TSX $34,800.00 Cdn. Not too bad... not too good either, great car either way!!!

Very competitive price, is that the fully loaded model?

2004 maxima ( i think is direct competition) tops at $40,000MSRP with NAVI and four seat buckets and 18" wheels

and

2003 Mazda 6 tops out fully loaded at $33,900 i think..

Very competitive.. I like the look of it much better than the accord.

I'd take the TSX anyday over the Maxima, and the Mazda 6 anyday.

yeah the Ford 6 is ford.... maxima i'm not a huge fan of, that TSX looks sweet!!! i want one! but the fuel consumption is worse for manual than it is for auto.... i thought it was the other way around? maybe i'm just out of touch....

35K for an accord too much!

By the time you add in your floor mats and am aero kit, you're almost at 40K...

You could have picked up a Type S instead!

I thought the TSX was supposed to be the 4-door acura what was the stepping stone between the 1.7 EL and the 3.2 TL

Let see:

MSRP Acura 4 doors

22,000 1.7 EL Base
23,300 1.7 EL Base with Aero Package
24,000 1.7 EL Premium
25,300 1.7 EL Premium with Aero Package
/\
|
anyone else see this price gap?
|
\/
35,800 TSX
38,677 TSX with Aero Package and 17" Rims

So Acura is telling me I can buy a crappy 127 hp 1.7 EL for the same as what I would pay for a 160 hp RSX, but if I want a sedan, then I'm sh*t outta luck... I think the TSX should have started at 30-31K...

OR acura should make a 2.0 EL with the K20A motor and price it at 30-31K

either way its 200 hp anyway you split it , just close the price gap.

I like the TSX, but personally think its OVERPRICED :fustrated

a new Base Acura 3.2 TL is Like $37,000

This TSX should be Starting at $30k

I love Hondas - but i think they are starting to get overpricy and cocky on these new cars these days

Just my 0.2 cents

The pricing is correct based on what Acura said it would price the car at: something priced between the RSX-S ($31,800) and the 3.2 TL ($37,000). I also think its priced pretty competitvely for its class (ie. BMW 3 series, Audi A4, Lexus IS300, etc.)

Yes it is the Euro Accord, Saw two of them at my local Acura Dealer today...nice!

JSK, I think it's $34,800, and I thought the 17's were standard. The TL Type S A-Spec was 45k (saw it in the window today)
I hope they price the 2.0 EL around 27-28k.

My price is $3300 more than my price for a RSX Type-S, when you put it in that perspective it's a steal! (my price=I work @ Honda, don't ask, I can't tell you.)

I wanna see the TSX in person...

BTW i didn't mean the look of an accord, i meant i like the look of the TSX...

But man for 4-5 grand more you can get a G35 sedan which will whoop any TSX, maxima, etc asses.. You can't beat RWD and skyline type independent suspension.

I think Acura is on drugs to try and attempt to place the TSX as a direct competitor of the ever refined BMW 3 series. Especially with FWD. However pricing wise, the TSX has it beat.

I just went to the dealership today and checked out the maxima 04, my god has it ever changed (made me regret getting my 2003)..

The damn thing comes standard with a 5" screen and optional 7" NAVI screen, plus user adjustable settings ie. headlight delay, trunk release functions, etc.. things that i normally required to go to the dealership for.

ANd POWER adjustable steering damn near SICK..

But you cannot compare the VQ v6 motor to the TSX V6 motor. The VQ has the competition beat interms of v6 performance. Too bad Nissan CANNOT build a 6 speed shifter as slick as a honda can. My 6 speed is pure SLOP and Notchiness.

But TSX has the looks department beat compared to a maxima. But i really like the look of the mazda 6. Although it uses the DURATEC v6 with mazda's own variable timing (VTEC?)... Bottom line, GREAT cars at GREAT prices, its up to the owner to decide what the like

EL Sport; see this thread I posted awhile ago regarding the 2.0 Civic in Thailand, right now 2.0 EL is just a speculation, but it's gotta be coming sooner or later...

the tsx and maxima are in different classes. I'd say TL vs. maxima is a better match.. the new 3.x TL is coming out in september and is supposedly going to push a 260 ALL WHEEL DRIVE!!!! can't wait to see the styling on that baby

ED I have a buddy at acura sherway.. he said to come by tomorrow (friday) to drive the TSX.. PM me if you want to come. sorry to hear about the 2k2, I never knew it got totalled!!!!
