looking for some help from you guys
Hey guys .. im looking for a fast bubble hahah .
I got a 1993 bubble .. and looking at motor swap and turbo project.
have about 15 g;s to spare on this project so im on a buget but prolly shoudlnt effect me that much .
lookign for the h22 or gsr motor and maybe a greddy turbo kit .
so i need the help from the pros on this site. that have the experience with hondas..
I need soem help .. from the basics.
What is the best v-tech motor to turbo, ive herd that the type-r has such high compresion that turboing it might lead to disaster. i liek the idea of a b18 gsr motor, or a h22 . but im not to familiar with the bubles dimentions or engine bay. witch motor is the easiest to swap with minimal madding? what is the best turbo kit to use for these motors? ans what is a safe Psi to run without mayjor work to the motor.
what is a good limited slip diff ?
suspention is important. an ideas for that ?
wheels and tires ?
any other idead or comments would be great
Cheers
Mike

firstly, its called a civic bubbles are what my little brother plays with. Personally, i think u should go with a b18b1, they are great motors to turbo, buy a nice suspension setup. Also, what do u plan on doing with this car? making it some kind of show car or just a fun daily driver/track car?

first off, i don't think i've ever heard a single Hatch owner calls theirs a "bubble" in real life, ever
Best VTEC motor to turbo? I'd be inclined to say B18C1 or B16B (or D16Y8 ) Lots of guys use the non-VTEC B18's too (that's a favourite). All the VTEC motors i mentioned all have rougly the same compression (around 10:1), and that's fine, even around 1bar, as long as you're running 94 Octane gas and have your TIMING tuned (not just fuel). Safe boost on a stock B? anything yielding less than 230hp.. that seems to be the point of no-return for many rods and walls.
Swapability: D-series, B-series < 2.0L, B-series > 2.0L, H-series, in that order. H22's "fit", but were never meant to go in that chassis. If you need to see that little "2.x" on your trunk: B20's, with a little bit of work and a VTEC head, are your ultimate starting point for serious power. google for "endyn b20" and you'll see what i mean.
good LSD is the OEM integra type r one, or the quaife unit. Both around $900. there are zero-maintenance locking-type units for <$400, and some people love them, others think they're crap.... but don't believe the haters.
