I almost took you up on this offer last night! I went down to the parking garage and surprise, surprise my car wouldn't start. Waited 90 minutes for CAA to come give me a boost....grrrrrrr.

The car is now at the dealership and the sales guy is going to have a mechanic with more experience try to solve the problem. He seems to think it's the wiring. So hopefully this will be the last time I have to take it in for this problem or any problem for that matter!

I did ask what would happen if this problem can't be solved and every week I have to bring it back in and I was told that they would replace the car for me. So we'll see what happens if it comes down to that.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!

heh heh..that's cool..
us Veloz people gotta back each other up, there's only so many of us out there

so you've had the same thing happen how many times?? and they're just thinking about putting someone with a little more brain power on the job now?? okay.....

definitely a major draw somewhere..

question if i might..does it have the Honda alarm on it??
you said everything else was stock, i'm just thinking out loud..

heh heh..hope you gave them shyt too about their "are you using the right key" BS statement too..

Just an update on my situation...

I got my car back on Tuesday. It's seems to be ok, but I'm still nervous everytime I go to start it. They tightened, cleaned, and lubricated the body grounds and put another new battery in...so I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that will be it now.

Anyway, thanks again to everyone for their suggestions and support!

that sucks....I heard there were some issues with american built hondas even starting with the SiR in 1999. Bunch of american hicks got drunk at work or something... Hondas should be built in Japan goddamnit!!! That's why I asked for one with a VIN # starting with J Not a single problem

Just an FYI, '99-'00 SiR engines and transmissions were built in Japan. I haven't heard of any specific problems with '99 SiRs (at least ones that are stock...).
