Need a professional to install CLEAR BRA & TINT on my car. Any recommendations?

Hey guys,

I just got my white honda civic '07.

Does anyone know a reputable installer in the GTA area?

Keep in mind, I also plan to get my windows tinted. So I don't mind a shop that can do both jobs (tint and clear bra installations). I hope there is a place that can give me a deal if I pay to do both the tint and clear bra installation.

So any recommendations? If so, what are their prices and reputation like?

Thanks everyone!

is Audio Heaven good?

I just called Audio Heaven today. And I think it was Jeff (the owner) that answered the phone. I asked him how much for Tint and Clear Bra installation and this is the pricing he offered:

Tint (Solargard HP True Grey Metalized Window Film) = $200+tax
Clear Bra (for front hood, side fenders, & side mirrors) = $280+tax

And if i want to install clear bra on the front bumper, he said it would be $350. Not sure if it's worth it? I'm still contemplating on this.

The clear Bra brand they are using is Clear Shield.

So what you guys think? Is this a good deal?

My car is WHITE. So if I get the tint, I'm not sure if I should get Solargard HP True Grey Metalized Window Film vs. Solargard Supreme Window Film (A Dyed Window Base Film )?? What the difference anyway? Is the metalized look very noticeable?

Will Grey Metalized look better on white or the non-grey metalized one is better?

Why didn't you ask them?

And they are using the latest technology so no faded look occurs.

From what I've heard, they do excellent work.

A-H is very highly regarded for the work they do, just check the feedback section.

As I told you on 8thgen, they did my 2 older cars and the tints were both perfect after a few years. The clear bra you are asking about is much cheaper then what most dealers want. Mine wanted $600 just for the hood. The paint on the new Civics (like most new cars) can be chipped fairly easy, so it might be a wise investment. I'm still thinking of getting my Si done before this winter.

I would suggest 35%. Thats what I have. It looks good from the outside and it doesn't limit visibility so you can see out and cops can see in thus avoiding any hassles. Also, if you have a darker colour interior, a lighter tint will appear darker. I had 20% on my old car and it was hard to see out the back at night time.

Hey man, you asked the same question on the 8th gen Civic forum. As I told you there, I'd recommend getting the tint at Audio Heaven. That's where I got the tint on my car and my wife's car.

Personally, I'd go with 20% all around on your EX. I got the same thing on my white EX too, and it looks amazing.

Nice, you got any pics I can see?

And did you tint your sunroof too? Or it's not worth it? I'm thinking probably not since we have the cover and we can always use that if we want to avoid the sun coming through.

Thornhill tints! ask for Richard. He does factory tints and bras for BMW, Honda, Acura and many other dealers. I took my dads 325i there a month ago, he put a clear bra on the hood, fenders, headlights and side mirrors, cost me 250$.

edit: let me know if you want their number, I dont have it on me right now.

Yes I do have pictures and I will post them later on today. I did not tint the sunroof because it's already tinted and you also have the shade to cover it if you want to.
