Going fast=Spending lots of $$$$$
You cant make your car go significantly faster with only spend $500 for example. Gotta put some money into it

Shorter gear box, lighten up the car, glass replace with lexan, suspension and a set of good tires.

nice way to welcome guests.

It depends on how much speed you want to achieve. IMO without a lot of money (atleast $2000) you aren't going to be quick.

IMO if you are getting a new car....why not put that money into the new car? that's just my $0.02

never heard about a spoiler adding power.....stickers are just old news! lol

but welcome to the club!

don't worry about those guys most of the guys on tcc are friendly.

but like jonny just said.. why don't you save your money on your new car? $2000 won't get you that far dude.

And a homemade turbo is basically a turbo kit but it is made with cheaper parts

example.. using injectors from an eagle instead of buying new injectors.

And a turbo is a lot more than cold air thrown into the engine.

if u wanna do a lil bit, just do intake and full exhaust ... a tuneup helps too... but i personally would save and put it towayds the new car.

Ditch the heavy 17's for some lighter 15's a remove the wing.

IMO I would get as much info as you can on your engine and the mods you would like to do. If you dont know much about cars...educate yourself and learn about all the mods you can do to increase speed, etc.

read up on our tech sections....there are many people here that can answer your questions and give you good advice, other than slapping stickers on your ride...

end result, you can decide for yourself what is best for you.

and in the meantime save a bit of money for the car

welcome to TCC!

yeah, first thing to do to make your car feel faster... get rid of the 17" rims... put on some lightweight 15"... take off that wing
add some bolt ons and tune your car... not that much faster, but you'll feel some difference... good for a year........ and work on the suspension... civic is all about handling... not straight line power IMO
