noob here to say hi

I'm totally new to Toronto Civic Club. Here to say hi to everybody.

I'm already TM6 club member, and now I'm about to buy 1998 Civic EX.
Would you guys tell me what should I look for in that car? What are the common issues? ans so on....

btw, that car has quite a miledge. Should I be conserned about engine or clutch, or anything else?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Regards

if you have a lot of km on the car i would defiantly do a B series engine swap. Then throw on suspension, stock suspension prob wont support the heavier engine in the front plus much better ride.

I would have a very thorough check on the condition of the body prior to purchasing the vehicle - rust around rear quarter panels, rust on doors, rust on fenders etc. It is my personal experience and opinion that it is much harder to properly repair rust than to repair any other components on the car, whether it be the engine/suspension.
