I'm busting on the summer tires tomorrow morning @ 8:15.

The weather's great outside. I ain't riding on 15" alloys with Arctic Alpins anymore! I need these winter tires for... winter. ... not solid dry ground.

I'm so tempted to put mine back on, but I have to get my camber kit first. Anyways I'm sure that we'll have one last snow fall before the end of March.

Don't put 'em on too early, I did the wife's too early last year, then of course it snowed and she proceeded to drive direcly into a curb!!! $$$$$

18 minutes per tire / are you changing the tires on the rims in that time?... I do all 4 of mine in about 10 - 12 mins on autocross days.

P.S., here's a good timesaver; forget the rear jacking point exists, just put the jack under the front one and pick up the whole side of the car, that way you only jack twice!

I'm slow.. and besides.. my Honda jack wouldn't come out of the trunk... so I had to take the Lexus jack from my parents car to jack my car up. Thankfully jacks are all universal.

This is the FIRST time I've ever changed my tires BTW.

The max safe operational weight limit for the jack is 1000 lbs or kg?

Do you find it easier to loosen the lugs while the car is on the ground? i find it's hard even if i have the e-brake on, or in 1st gear it's still a pain to loosen them if they're off the ground... yeah i'd give it 20 - 30 min for all 4!!

Watch after all my trouble posting the pic this one won't be closed....

I put my E-brake on.. and my transmission in gear 1.

The E-brake uses the brake... obviously.. so the rear wheels were no problem to get them loosened while the car was jacked up.

The front wheels however had a bit of a problem... When I raised the car up... and tried to loosen the lugs.. the wheels would turn a bit.. and have some slack cuz the crankshaft was moving just a bit.. I didn't want to damage my engine so I decided to lower the car and loosen them that way.. and same thing when I retightened them.

So.... rear wheels can be jacked up when loosening and tightening... and front wheels have to be on the ground when loosening or tightening.

I see, I gotta remember that I'm using a floor jack, I break all the nutz on one side first then jack that side.

buying my floor jack was one of the best investments, i can't imagine having to use my honda jack to change all my tires, that would take FOREVER!
