and they knew I had a problem starting the car on the day I picked it up Brand NEW!.... :fustrated
they wasted my time going back and forth to get it check out but they weren't able to fix it... and up till now it's still hard to start once in a while.... and just 2 days ago the car stalled while I was driving .... I didn't even noticed when it happened

If it's a recall, then the dealer must fix it regardless. It's a safety hazard!!

My 1990 VW Jetta was recalled in like 97 or 98... well after the warranty had expired.

But I didn't get anything in the mail about this, did any one else? It's been a year since the recall was posted so I'm sure that I should've received it by now!! I've never experienced a stall while driving, but in the beginning I did notice that it was sometimes difficult to start. I brought it back to the dealer numerous times and they claimed that nothing was wrong with it since they couldn't reproduce the problem. (Doesn't it always happen like that? Never happens when you need it to? )

Fortunately, the problem has gone away by itself, but I just might get Honda to do it coz it may pose a problem in the future.

Oh, I just noticed that it says "American Honda Company," but I'm assuming that it applies in Canada too, right??

EDIT: Interesting... I went to Transport Canada's web site and the only recalls that they list for Honda Civics during this time period apply to the sedans and hatches... no coupes!

Transport Canada

but also .... my car have been modified after my warranty expired... would they still do the recall if there is one?

hey man, I was at the gas station and after filling up and trying to start the car, the car died on me immediately, but then I tried again and it fired right up

anything to be concerned of? I haven't been in for that servicing either

Of course you have problem starting ryuujin, you are running with only 3 cylinders.

and civics from the states are made in different plants, so sometimes the recall won't affect canadian civics.

I called them up and they said that my car is not on the recall list and they're not saying that it might be a faulty ignition coil... ****! they're trying to make up all these BS again... and they wanted $80 just for diagnostic.... **** I just said **** that I'd rather get it checked somewhere else
