thanks guys...

well i'm going down to collect some tapes...apparentl;y this guy i know who is a thief at work got a phone call after i finished my break,....which means the guys were probably trying to confirm that i'm inside the building and nowhere near my car. so i'm gonna match the time of them breakin in with the time he got a phone call inside the building. if this is the case i'm going all the way to bust his ***...and get him some time in prison to make him know what it feels like and i'm hoping he doesn't get like 3-10 years just for this one robbery if he gets busted.

anywyas now to the more serious question should i tell my insurance company all my stuff got robbed?

i have receipts of everything...someone tol me they deprieciate the value of your audio before giving you a check...

is this true?

what else do i need to do...

****ing alarm did not go off....and i think i also have futureshop responsable for it......

when they broke in my driver's side door the alarm didn't go off and i was wondering why....

so i sat in my car and locked it using my alarm and wanted to see if i opened the door from inside will the alarm go off..

well guess .....NOTHING ****ING HAPPENS.. so what i paid for the alarm was useless and a waste of money not to mention labour to have it installed...can i **** futureshop for it coz the alarm did not work and MAIN RESON was not even installed correctly.

Please tell me i have a SOLID CASE AGAINST THEM.....

please...i can't afford to lose anymore money .....

"you live life being honest you get screwed over..you live life being dishonest you still get screwed over......you with me"

yes tell your insurance company ... unless you just wanna take it up the ***... get something at least ....

you might have a solid case against the alarm installer ....you'll have to speak to a lawyer ... if they take your case then it's a solid case ... lawyers don't like to fight cases to lose.... and therefore don't fight the you don't have a leg to stand on cases

It sucks to hear that you got f****d more than once. As you can see by the response, you are not alone.

First off,

Don't tip your hand to Future Shop about what happened. Find out at another location what if any loss do they cover. Always get the name of who you spoke to. BTW, did they demo the alarm to show you that it was working?

As for the insurance if your deductible is $500 and your stuff in total was worth a G or 2, don't even bother to make a clam. This will come back to haunt u later. TRUST ME! If you did not have additional insurance on the stereo stuff they will only cove to a max of 1500. Your stuff depreciates 10% per year even if you have a receipt and I think and 50 % right off the bat with no receipt. I have had my stuff stolen a few times and it is the biggest pain

Yes, talk to a Lawyer and see what you can get out of Future Shop.

Sorry to hear about your loss! I hope you catch these people. And you do have a good case with FS, as you paid to have an alarm that works. (You can give it a try, you have nothing to lose).

Sorry to hear. I really doubt you will get your stuff back. If I were you, file a police report and contact your insurance company.
TCC can only help you so much. Your insurance co has most of your answers.

By the way, don't blame your alarm. If they wanted your stuff, it wouldn't have mattered.
Good luck with your new toys.

Peace.

sorry to hear that man
i'll also keep an eye out for those exact parts

this is one reason why i dont plan to install any sort of system. however, the POS tape deck (old school, no detattachable face) was almost stolen out of my car. The ******* pulled it out but i guess they ran outta time to unplug the harness. it's a tape deck for cryin out loud! what has this world come to!?

insurance will just screw u even harder , sure u make your claim and they pay your check. they say your rate won't go up , but take it from me it will, they did it to me. i ended up just payin for the system twice if you think about it cuz whatever the insuarance paid me i paid it back over a two year period , then my rate wnt back down .
so i hate to say it but u might be better to take the loss if u don't get your isht back !

if this dude at your work did it or had a part in it , get some boys together and bust his knees , give me a shout i'll come wit cha ! ( not literally but i think of when i got ripped off man and i'm just as pissed right now as the day it happened F*CK )

i gotta go and chill , man i'm pissed !

good luck , bra

The screwdriver doesn't hold as evidence..

my car got broken into, and the theives left screw drivers, cutters and a pry bar... they jacked my system.

The cops came, and did a report. They had no interest in the tools, they told me I can keep them If i wanted to. Unless somebody was left dead in your car, they're not going to dust for prints... paper work is all you get.

How much do you figure to replace teh audio?
Do you have receipts or pics?
Your insurance cannot go up for a theft but it will be a claim against you.The most they pay out by law is $1500 for anything above a stock car.You can get them to replace the stuff with similar modlels which is much better than getting the cash at a depreciated $ amount.

I wouldn;t waste the time to report it as it might cost more in the long run for a non claim free insurance rate and at the usual25% cash amount the stuff probably cost 800 so you would get 200.

If the alarm didn;t go off then you have a problem with the alarm.

First thing to do is go to a good audio shop to have them make a detailed report ofwhy it didn;t go off.A shop like KHF (kennedy hifi) who does excellent work with no problems is a place to have them examine and take pics of the wiring malfunctions. Then go back to future shop and demad to see the store manager and explain the problem. It also depends on how long the alarm was installed. If you can prove with evidence of a 3rd party examination and pictures of there gross error of installation of defective merchandise then your case is very solid for small claims court and should be able to have it payed for there under the $5000 dollar mark for teh window ,cleaning and replacement of audio and labour. You might get lcky with teh store manager if it is a very evident lack of installtion. They might just pay it out right away. But get somone to check why first to prove you did not disable it to then get them to pay it. That is why you need a store store with an amazing reputation to analyze it first. It might cost $100 -200 but it would be worth it in the long run.
