Unhappy 1 man kills 4 mounties?!

so it takes the RCMP, and the military's armoured vehicles to take out 1 guy with an assault rifle, in a town of 60ppl?!?!

i thought that was only possible in GTA, my sympathies for the dead and their familiys.

story here

it's a job, they choose to do it. death is part of the deal. we all die sooner or later, get over it.

Saw it on the news. They were there to serve a warrant and the guy shot them before shooting himself. To take out 4 armed guys, he was either very lucky or a damn good shot.

from what i just heard on the news it wasn't 4 all at once, first 2 then 2 at a later time.

and 2 at a time is totally possibe....2 cops with handguns against one guy with like an ak-47 or whatever kind of assault rifle he had

quite harsh i must admit . . . they choose to do it not to die. . . and it's defiently not apart of the deal....it's a risk they are willing to take to help everyone out.

saw this on the news and the thing i dont understand is how they found all 5 bodies dead? 4 where the rcmp's and one of the shooter> now who killed the shooter? even in that article it states that Details were sketchy.

something fishy goin on here. :S

DumbasSi, I also have a father that is in law-enforcement.

bbarbulo, were do you get the nerve saying a comment like that,

"its there job, get over it" ???

they risk there lives everyday to keep innocent people out of harm, apprehend & surrender criminals, and rescue others from danger.

maybe you should pay some respect to people ("DOING THERE JOB"), that try to keep our streets a safer place, not only for me, but you.

No one deserves to DIE, helping others or bringing justice.

Its a damn trajedy this happened, and maybe it will be a wakeup to the criminal system.

This comment is childish.
4 people dead trying to make this country a better place. My apologies to everyone on this board who has family in law enforcement... they may choose their dangerous line of work, but the rest of us should be thankful they did.
Please think before you type.

i will be applying for the police force soon,

Im from Laos.
and to have someone from another country to serve the country or your city is a Big Honour.

even though BBarbulo is right in a way!
u choose the career and ur willing to sacrifice things for the job u love!

my grandfather was a Cop, my dad served in the Viet war.
so my name needs to continue in serving!

Harsh or not, Barb's opinion is his own.

1. police KNOW the risks, and choose to get hired.

2. most police I have encountered are not very honourable.

A divison used to have a banquet once a year at a building I worked security at. A police officer was stumbling around looking for the chef to thank him.. I asked him if he needed a cab... "Hey, I'm okay, I got this" and he showed me his badge.

Look at the drug testing issue. The government wants to give cops drug testing and they all against it. As an officer with a GUN, with rights above others, you should expect to lose some other rights. An accountant who smokes a J on the weekend and does a couple of lines won't do anything.. but a guy doing the same who is responsbile for making sure people don't do that.. and has the ability to beat them... different story. How can you be mad about drug testing when you're sworn to get it off the streets? Maybe 'cause you don't really believe in what you do?

A friend of mine used to work at a cop bar. Cops would take their 16 year old boys and get them drunk, yet I have friend's who have been charged with underage drunkeness or whatever. One cop even slapped my friend with his keys in the face after he finished puking in the squad car. haha

Let's not forget the plain clothes cops downtown... the entire unit got shut down.

---

A lot of these 'cops' I would have no pity for were they to fall while on or off the line of duty.

At the same time, I respect a lot of true, honest, and just officers who really are out there trying to help society, fight crime, and aren't trying to prove something to themselves by carrying a big gun and harrassing teenagers.

It's like any job. THere is the good and the ****.

You think every drug dealer is a bad person? When they get shot though, a lot of people will say 'whatever' and will you feel the same outrage to that?

Yes, every drug dealer IS a bad person. Your comparison makes no sense. And your argument about bad cops wrongly presumes these dead officers were bad too. You don't know that.
Being a cop is NOT like every other job... otherwise alot more of us would have the guts to do it.
