2004 Acura EL

Nice...wonder if the parts will swap with 7th gen civics Just imagine a hatch SiR with that front but considering the vast differences between the three models (sedan, coupe, hatch), it is not likely

that's not an Acura EL ...it's the JDM Accord rebadged as an Acura in North America
It is almost a rebadged, JDM Accord but the interior has been changed specifically for the Acura model.
I think it would be difficult to fit parts from it in/on a 7th gen Civic Sedan or Coupe. This car has a "K-type" motor like the RSX, SiR, CR-V, U.S. Accord and Element. I guess if it can fit in a SiR, it isn't impossible but.... The suspension is double wishbones in the front, it is bigger, etc.

Sorry, I should have clarified. I meant the 7th gen has the "K-Type" engine. The TSX has double wishbone suspension unlike the current Civics. The TSX is also much BIGGER than the 6th gen Civics.

P.S. I heard the Recaro's used in Japan can't be ceritified for OEMs in North America because of the material's used. OEM's have to make seats of, somewhat, fire retardant materials. Obviously, the regulations are a little more relaxed in Japan. BTW have you tried to sit in the seat of the '03 (U.S.) Accord? It is quite comfortable even with the lumbar in the lowest position. I wouldn't want to use it for autocrossing but it is probably better for a long cross country drive. I bet there was more money spent to design the current Accord seat than on any Recaro.

Yes, it ISN'T an EL or EL replacement. The EL will still be around next year. The badge does not say RSX but TSX.
