I think it will be more like between the RSX Type S ($31,300)and base 3.2 TL ($37,800). If you think about the Accord, this has to be more expensive as an Acura.

If this was a replacement for the Acura EL then it looks pretty big for a import car in the low $20k price range! I was thinking (albeit, prematurely) that I would sell my Civic for one when those TSX's came out but since it has to be in the price range above a Honda Accord, NEVER MIND!!!
I'm really curious as to what engines it'll get. With one of the V6's from the CL/TL then those things would fly!!

It'll get the accord motors 2.4L, 160hp (new accord, cr-v) and probably the 3.0L 240hp (new accord).
Maybe not though, they've never put a V6 in it overseas yet!
Over there it gets the 2.0L, 155ps, and the 2.4L 190ps. I think I'd like the 2.4, is gonna be the new frankie bottom end for sure!

It IS basically an Accord, but the JDM/European version. It is based on the same platform. With the last generation, when they started to make market specific versions of the Accord, many people in North America complained "They get all the good stuff". Well this time, Honda decided to bring the "good stuff" here but under a different name. What's wrong with that? Many people, including myself feel the North American Accord is too big and 'cushy'....made for "American" tastes. I drove the previous generation Accord Euro R in Japan. That car was a lot more stiffly sprung, had a tighter body and the brakes.... compared to the previous North American Accord. I wanted one. Now the new one is even better and I am seriously thinking of getting one.
Do you think Honda should employ GM Engineers? Admittedly, Honda vehicles don't have the most interesting designs (well, I have to admit the Element is interesting). Honde invests most in Engine Engineers. They always have and always will. I think that is the right way to go. What good is a car, motorcycle, lawnmower, power boat, generator, trimmer...if the engine doesn't run?
IMO, most of their designs tend to 'grow' on you and also look good long after they stop producing them. How many car companies have designs like that? How many people still think Neons are cute (Sorry Sunshine)? When they first came out, people thought they were sooo cute. When I first saw the lights on the 6th gen Civics, I thought they were butt ugly. Now I drive a 6th gen...
Just my $0.02.
