2006 / 2007 Seaon - Leafs vs Raps

Who will be a better team?

They've both made a fair amount of changes and I doubt they're done yet.

Who do you think has improved more and who will go farther this coming season?

Leafs: Look for the younger players to get more time this year with Allison, Lindros, and Domi gone...the new rules allow the youngsters to play their own game. Defense has been shored up, but it may ultimately come down to whether or not Raycroft can play as well as he did a few seasons ago.

Raps: New GM, new point guard, new rookie big man, and a few new bench players. In basketball, a few changes can go a long way...Sometimes all you really need is two players to step it up (FW/C and G) and you can go far...Think Malone / Stockton, Shaq / Kobe, etc...

The beauty of sports is that anything can happen. I think both teams have improved equally, but I'm also overly optimistic when it comes to our home teams.

Easy there...How many games have the raps won in the past two seasons again?

Keep in mind that the NBA hasn't changed...The NHL is whole new game and the Leafs are trying to adapt.

It's a tough call.

I think both teams have improved a lot...It's good to see our two marquee teams looking better.

The only thing that worries me about the raps is their lack of a shooting guard. Mo Pete is too streaky and unless he starts driving to the hoop (which we all know he can do) I think they'll be a little weak at the perimeter.

They've signed or traded for some perimeter players havent they?

i think the raps have a decent roster so far .. but there is still alot of time for things to change up in regards to the gaurd positions .. its still early in the off season .. so im just sitting back and letting the all might colangelo do his THANG

Both teams will suck but the I want to believe that the Raps will suck less. I think the Leafs definetly improved on the defense and its going to come down to whether or not our team can score. Come to think of it, since were not playing the old dump and shoot like in the days old Quinn maybe that won't be a problem anymore.

Both Clubs should do pretty good this Season. Specially with addition of Mike Peca to the Leafs!
