Honestly, I rather get drunk then to smoke weed.
I have more fun that way.

No Tylenol for you!!

Some cronics go a little too far:

A. Smoking and driving
B. Smoking so much that nothing gets accomplished or organized
C. Memory loss

Addicts regardless of substance are just plain weak.

Considering the purchase costs plus the potential criminal repercussions if caught, addicts of illegal substances are just plain stupid as well.

i quit cold turkey.. lasted for 8 months.. got pissed off about something one night, and decided to have a cig.. 3-4 years later (1/2 a pack to 1/ pack a day) i'm not about 3 months cold turkey quit again.

do it man. addiction to anything sucks. that's what got me to quit the first time. i was smoking 3 to 4 cigars a week and inhaling them as well. as a smoker quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do. nothing wrong with the occasional poison every now and then, but regular use of anything is no good. not even caffiene!

Thanks Bruce. I thought about doing hypnosis or laser treatment, which are both no good unless you truly believe in these and that you really really want to quit.

I'm thinkin the best way to is man up and say "Fack you Cigarettes!!!!"

As many people have said (mainly older dudes), it's all in your head.

well, first few days can be pretty rough, and you might make some lifestyle changes.. at least for a while.. but you'll be alright.

after about 3 weeks, i felt good enough to go 'out' and give it my all with the idiots.. once i didn't know if i smoked or not cause i had a bad taste in my mouth, but my shoes were not by the friend's balcony, so it's safe to say i'm clean.

being blackout drunk and not smoking made me happy.

most of the friends i go out with smoke, and most of them say "yeah, i'm gonna quit, but not yet"

as you get older, you'll hear that a lot more.

When I cold-turkey quit a 3-pack a day habit years ago, I also had to give up drinking and pizza at the same time until I fully kicked the smoking habit. The three always seemed to go hand in hand with each other. It was rough for a few weeks, but now I can walk into a bar or a room full of smokers and not feel any temptation to light up again.

Any substance dependancy is a weakness whether it be coffee or it be pot. If you NEED something on a regular basis or feel anxious or lost when you're going without, you're an addict whose life is controlled by that substance, regardless of how you try to rationalize your addiction.

i haven't had coffee since i quit.

3 packs a day?! I guess you're old and this is when smoking inside was legal everywhere.

I would smoke for 4 hours straight on patio nights cigar-cig-cigar-cig-cigar-cig

now i graze on vegetables at work to keep me busy
