6 car pile-up on Hwy. 400 & 7

Just heard on City Pulse about a 6 car pile-up at Hwy 400 & 7 last night that police "have attributed to street racing." I think that the anchor said that it was a BMW and two Mustangs (or 2 BMWs and one Mustang; it's either way) and that they were going over 200km/h when they hit the other cars. The worst part is, 2 of the people that will be charged are only 17 years old!!! Two girls were seriously injured in the accident and they were the passengers in one of the cars that were racing. If I were the father of one of those girls, I would hunt down and kill the jerk that was racing and hurt my kid. What stupid idiots!!! IF YOU'RE GOING TO RACE, DO IT AT THE TRACK!

Then they show clips from 2F2F and say that the recent surge in street racing hasn't been helped by the depiction of street racing in movies like 2F2F.

I think that I'll be staying away from the Woodbridge area for the next little while! Not because I'm afraid of cops, but because I'm afraid of getting hit but some stupid little **** driving too fast! :fustrated

Everyone, drive safe please!!! Don't go and do stupid stuff! A car isn't a toy, it can potentially kill someone. People probably don't think about the consequences of their actions when they should be! Not only for their own safety, but the safety of others using the road! Don't be stupid!!!!!

The girls were stupid enough to sit in the car in the first place... they deserve to go down with the drivers.

I have no sympathy for those who die or hurt in street racing.

thats pretty harsh nova, we don't know if the girls knew they were gonna race, or if they were telling the guys to slow down or stop. somethin similar happened 2 minutes from my house, i girl injured, and one dead, they were just getting a ride home from school and didn't know the guy was gonna go 130 down a wet road, spin out and hit a mailbox, sometimes they have no control over the situation.

There's two sides to the coin:

1) The girl WANTED to be there

2) The girl HAD NO CHOICE to be there

You can't just say that the girl was stupid enough to sit in the car in the first place since you don't know, maybe the girl told the driver to stop and the guy refused. What's the girl gonna do? Jump out of a speeding car on the highway? If I have to choose between jumping out of a speeding vehicle onto the highway or sitting there, buckling up and grin and bearing it then I'd surely choose the latter over the former.

I'm not picking on you, don't worry. Just realize that there are two sides to every story.

Harsh? I think not.

What's the mentality of a 17 year old boy and a girl? To show off, especially when you are driving a sports car. It is highly unlikely that those girls were hitchhiking and they didn't know anything about the driver, meaning, they knew how they were, and they knew they race all the time.

And I can guarantee that it was not the first time they raced. I don't know if the 3 cars knew each other, though.

A 17 year old doesn't have the guts to race while other people in the car yelling "STOP!!! STOP!!!!" They raced because they got girls in the car, and it is a loser action not to race. The girls must have agreed to race and say something along the line of "take them down" or jack like that.

Adding fuel to the fire, I like to say.

Those people, deserve to die. They were irresponsible about their own lives, and other people's to begin with.

I have no sympathy for those as I said before. The world is getting packed up and we are running low on resources. We can have less idoits around.

its true that the girls may have known about the driving mentality of the drivers. but i don't think death should be wished apon anyone. and no one should ever race with passengers. THATS JUST STUPID RECKLESS AND I HATE PPL THAT DO IT.

When the racer puts his life in danger, and at the same time, risking the passenger's life (and the passenger agrees and encourages the race in the first place) and that poor fellow who happens to drive by and got hit from the racer...

Tell me, does he deserve to die? I think so. He can live of course if he doesn't race illegally, I am not saying he should walk out and get hit by a car. But when he races and gets in an accident, I sincerely wish that he gets killed right on the spot so he wouldn't do it again.

Some guy in a bimmer cut me off and then hung 1/2 way out the window and shot me the finger.... I wished bad things to happen to him... maybe that was him LOL Am I responsible?? LOL

I think the Civic crowd is now a lot more mature than when we first started off, so I think we're pretty safe drivers, no? I mean, I see a lot more stupidity in every other car EXCEPT the civic nowadays.

Neil, that's a helluva signature!!! Great picture... you can even see me chillin next to my car

Yeah, I kinda wanna get outta Windsor too. It's fun and all, but you can only go to so many bars on any given night. You know it's bad when you go to a bar that's packed to the brim, and the beautiful bartender already knows what you're gonna order before you even say it. That's not right... I'm too young to be a regular at any bar.

It's sweet how my car happens to be the middle one in that pic Next time, I'll bring the Saturn to represent TCC.

BOND007, if you weren't such a ***** bastard, you'd be a pretty good guy too Haha Thanks for the warm welcome

what about the enthusiasts that do race? in grassroots motorsports? hey we are also feeling the sting ...maybe more so then you guys because most of the cars have roll cages and stripped interiors that look like they mean business (most of them do but not on the street)

it's not only show cars that are effected by police trying to crack down on street racing it's also the go cars....

street racing is one of the reasons I'm in a stock class and am unsure about getting the roll cage I want for next year .....(when I move up a class or 2)
