'99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS

Hey guys I want your opinion on this... my girlfriend just bought a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS... looks good and drives good... but is there any reliablility issue with these cars???... or anything I need to know about???... cuz I know when her car brakes down... its up to me to fix it up... so i just want a heads up on what kind of issues i need to expect about these kinds of cars

95-99 clips have bad engines............alot of them need to be rebuilt or have been........lots of lemons out there. they tend to have alot of mech problems...........was gonna buy one but did my research first.

i remember reading how their engines are prone to crankwalk. search it up, should've researched about the cars reliability issues before buying it. nice car either way .

They are one sick car ...

she bought the non-turbo version

she does not have to worry about crankwalk

just make sure the car maintenance is up to date and u should have no worries as its an non turbo

Great car ... u will enjoy it

yea i read about it that GS is way more reliable than the GSX and GS-T... I also read that it has some issue with auto transmission getting stuck at a certain gear...

the GS has a chrysler engine, comparable to a NEON and an AVENGER.


You won't have any reliability problems with that car.

yep no crank walk in 420A's ie N/a clips engine....pretty car she must like it...just keep it maintained and treat it good. THey are not tanks so treat them accordingly
