did i write the article?

at least we make the effort to distinguish between devices shipped and new subscribers added when we post our results.

You can't sit there and tell me that there isn't a HUGE difference between 1 million devices "shipped" and 1 million devices reaching end users.

1 million actually being bought by end users would have been a much more significant accomplishment. Not saying that half a million isn't, but there is a big difference there. They make the craze seem bigger than it really was.

in the banking industry, we always say we all work for optimum shareholder value.....now do you sucker customers believe this ish? cuz we dont, we work for ourselves only.

1 million shipped to customers can mean anything.....just like hillary clinton said she has more popular vote...while she was counting florida and michigan which the fate being decided. you are trying to be politically correct....but real life doesnt work that day all the time.

do one thing...go to the apple head office...and protest there. maybe they will listen lol

that's why there are people out there writing articles about it

lol...

is your device as popular as people are led to believe if you ship 1 million to carriers and they end up only selling 100,000 of them?

I haven't updated my EDGE iPhone to 2.0 yet (pwnage tool isn't out yet), but apparently the reports are in saying it sucks, slow, crashes, battery drain, lack of smoothness found in 1.1.4, etc...

If this new BB Thunder/Storm is a multimedia phone (GOOD music player, not the crap BB has now, Wifi, Video, min 8gb on board memory, etc) it might be a serious replacement...

Maybe I'll have to switch...

hahaha, people complain about battery on this phone all the time why? cuz they dont put the bloody phone down or have every service running (location services, bluetooth, wifi etc) I have no issue with battery if I use it at a reasonable pace and aren't surfing the net for 5hrs straight at work. Once the honeymoon stage of owning this phone wears off people will see that there really isnt anything wrong with the battery compared to any other 3G network phone...the simple reality of it all is the 3G network is a battery hog (n95, blackjack, razr2 etc) all suffer from less than what people are used to of battery life due to the 3G network.

I havent had a problem yet going a full day with mine from 7:30am to 11pm unless I have left location services on (gps)...so once people know what they are actually complaining about most of the claims are pretty bunk...this same thing happened last year after launch...but soon after people stopped complaining cuz they weren't using the phone 24/7 without putting it down

in the end I don't care I have mine and I'm pretty happy now if there were just more damn apple stores around so I could get a flippin case for this thing!!

Matt, his article only relates to the first weekend. It's been a week now, they could have indeed sold all 1 million by now, who knows. He's just talking about the first weekend when apple report 1 million sold.

yea, I know luka but its still speculative data...what info is needed is info from carriers and how many activations they really did because not only were they done in store but also over the phone
