Nice...you bought (or acquired) the 2.0 update yet for it?...some of the apps are pretty decent

iPhone plans are still a bit too expensive IMO.

you don't have to get them, you can go with the regular data plans, or none (and just use wifi)...and they are comparable to ones in the US...

Great news for RIM came from technology analyst Gartner today, who are reporting that RIM has raised their smartphone market share to 17.4 percent, roughly double last year’s numbers. In addition, RIM sold 5.6 million smartphones from April to June, far surpasing the 2.5 million sold during this period last year. Where is all this growth coming from? RIM’s newfound consumer demographic.
“RIM continued to execute well at the consumer level, increasing its global market reach,” Gartner analyst Roberta Cozza said in a statement.

its touchscreen with haptic technology which means when you type on the touchscreen you get feedback as if you were still pushing a button

its pretty neat

feels better than typing on glass

Hopefully the Storm will be a better price than the iPhone right off the bat, seeing as it's going (at least try) to be the iPhone killer..

We can only hope that the price reflects that!

You'd FIGURE that they'll release it before xmas as one could imagine the iPhone will go $0 on a 3 year as a xmas deal and sell it for the same if not better seeing as $0/3yr iPhone's will sell like nothing.

That's how I'd see it anyways. And if not hopefully the Bold is the one that they give a good deal on.. but logically you'd think that the Storm would be the one to do it as it's the competition to the iPhone.

whatever they do they still sell 6-7 million devices per quarter and it keeps rising

with the release of the bold (on AT&T) soon, the Storm, the Kickstart just released on T-Mobile, a new CDMA Curve release, etc. it will only go higher.

Yeh but when do consumers care about sales stats when all they really care about is themselves getting their own unit. People aren't buying bb's or iPhones based on stats they are buying them based on advertising and PRICING, the best deal, the best effort a company is making in effort to draw MORE consumers. Waiting until xmas for the best deal is very common because it's when you get to see who's making the best efforts to reach the customer...
