I HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT DUE THIS THURSDAY. ITS ABOUT (GMO'S) GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS. i AM SUPPOSED TO BE THE COUNTY HAITI. i AM SUPPOSED TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE POSITION OF HAITI IN THE WORLD AND USUING THE KNOWLEDGE I HAVE FROM MANY RESOURCES, BE ABLE TO DECIDE

Each of you is being assigned the task of representing a nation of the United Nations. The nation you must represent is noted separately. What you must do is prepare a document on behalf of your country which describes your country's position with respect to the resolution. In essence, the document will be the formal statement of how you will vote at the conference. It should not be a statement of your personal opinion, but the position that you would expect the government of your country to take given its own special circumstances and world-view


WE, THE NATIONS OF THE WORLD, BELIEVE THAT THE ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH GENETICALLY MODIFIED ORGANISMS (GMO's) HAVE NOT BEEN ADEQUATELY EVALUATED, AND RECOMMEND THAT A GLOBAL MORATORIUM ON THE DEVELOPMENT AND RELEASE OF NEW GMO's BE PUT IN PLACE FOR A PERIOD NO SHORTER THAN 10 YEARS STARTING ON JANUARY 1, 2004.


PLUS IF YOU CAN , I NED INFO ABOUT HAITI...INCLUDING THEIR LAWS AND PEOPLE THEY TRADE WITH AND ANYHTING./...[PLEASE HELP

whats the question?

i dont think they should be released.... it just gonna throw the balance of our planet even further off... it would create more diseases, kill off species and all that.... theres no need to change what was given to us on this planet... cause by doing so we're just hastening our own demise

if your country is going thru famine(sp?) or developing country then GMO's are should be allowed, why?

1. they are cheaper than organics
2. can produce a larger quantity than organics, and sometimes in a shorter amount of time
3. most GMO have extra vitamin/mineral included in the make up therefore helping developing countries cope with diseases. ie. extra vitA for vision or vitC for x diseases, etc...

they should be allowed but as always there should be some sort of global governing body that has absolute control over it, something like a GMO UN.

They have already been studying the effects on human growth... Kids are groing taller/bigger/faster than any point in history... I think it also explains why more and more young girls are walking around with ***** the size of pam anderson less than 11 years old... anyone else notice this phenomena?

I would suggest speaking with the Haiti embassay .... (either here or in ottawa or whereever it is) anyways thats how I did it when I was in highschool and needed to represent a different country on a matter .... then again it was the UK I had to represent.....
