one of my freinds has a crown vic. and wants to do it up like a cop car, like with the lights and everything, obviously he cant put MTO on it, but he wants to have a "cop car" i dont know why, but it wud be kinda cool

is it allowed?

oh he will also not turn the lights on while the vehicle is in motion , as that would make it illegal

i'm not sure why it would be illegal, but it would help if some one knew more about it

I think the lights would be illegal installed on the car....but thats just my thoughts I haven't gone looking at the HTA or anything....

Get a set of blue lights for the top and one of those universal snow plows from Canadian tire. Should be easy to mount on a Crown Vic and then all should be legal. If your pulled over and an officer questions the vehicles appearance, point at the snow plow mounts..
Besides, its also a money making proposition.

It's called impersonating a police officer. VERY ILLEGAL! Even if he's stopped and turns the lights on he could get charged. I wouldn't recomend it. You can actualy do time for it!

you can't have red lights... just put the other stuff up.. but you can expect police harrassment regardless of it being legal or not.

you're teasing the cops.

you don't wear a motorcycle gangs colours you aren't affiliated with.. especially on their own turf.

same thing applies to the boys in blue.

i say just leave it white, and get the black steelies with chrome center hubcap. dark tint and your good to go !
and maybe the police package under the hood.

Why? That is so gay when I see people even driving around with an Impala or Crown Vic with no hub caps, light tint and an antenna. Whats the point? So gay, oooOooo a cop wanna be! Plus, put any colour lights on your car and a cop can give you a ticket. That's the reasoning behind not being allowed to have blue head lights, blue lights are set aside for snow removal or city vehicles anyways.

You can do it just must not say "Police" on the car. When I did CAI at GC we had a Intrepid Prototype Cop Car that we got to drive around. You can have the lights just can't use them. As to the impersanation of a Police Officer if someone asks you must state you are not a cop.

i thin it would be kinda cool, watching all the speeders slow down and having every1 move out of your way cause they think you ra cop, even get the cool cop horn, its a wicked way to beat traffic!

and tell him to pic up a 92-96 honda prelude and tell him to turn that into a cop car and I mean all out. but not all out to resemble a gta cop car but to resemble a japanese cop car.
i was watching omni 1 once and they had this chinese movie going on and there was a high speed chance and the cop car in it was a prelude in black and white says police blah blah blah on the side of the car in chinese or japanese and had the lights up top and it was SICK
