Yeah, I agree this guy must be doing and selling crack or something! I don't know, but if I catch this guy around my house:working:

For all of you wondering, I want to keep it! One of kind! Too much time and money put into this. The only one that will appreciate it would be me! You're right PULOVR!

Mike, are you saying that you would sell your SOL to the devil for that price? I'm sure you have been offered some money for your small bananna!

I would have sold it, but not for cash, for a registered cheque.

Just figure out how much it would cost you to buy another similar civic. Then factor in all the cost of the mods, then throw in some money for time you incured working on it, add it all up and counter offer.

I'd do it especially if you park the car outside. Guy knows where you live.

I want a mini truck ('92 Toyota on hydraulics and dubs), I already have a 4x4 (Suzuki Samurai), and my civic, and my daily driven Saturn. I also want a muscle car either domestic (Mustang/Camaro) or Japanese (like a SR20DET 240SX or an RX7), and a Impala lowrider, and a Honda CBR 600F4i. The mini truck and Impala I'd prefer not to own at the same time, cause I only need one car at a time that does a certain job for me. So 3 down, and 4 more cars to purchase/build. I love everything with an engine.

Oh, and I probably would not have sold my car, but my car is newer...I have way more than 17K in it. But for yours...I don't know I've never seen your car. If the motor is stock with just bolt ons, I would have sold it. Not with a swap.

I would not have sold it either Jamie. It is a lot of money but think about how you'd feel seeing it leave the driveway for the last time, having it pass you on Hwy 2. This would be too much for me.

There are a lot of years in ones life to collect toys if we are allowed to do so.

here's all my cleaning product, oil filters, oil and jack to go with it...

i have to agree, that was the guy you would want to sell your car too, the type of guy that wants your car specifically... he obviously doesn't want to buy a civic and spend antoher 10g's fixing it up to look like someone else's, if you go to sell your car... it will be very hard to find that same type of buyer.

ha ha same with me i had a couple of people chassing me down the street asking me if i want to sell my car, it's nothing big or show material but i told them to go **** themselves. I personally would never sell my car unless i get some serious cash for it, I was offered 6g's.

But for 17g's with stock motor i think I would have sold it. But i also understand why you wouldn't sell it b/c of the love you have for your car and all of the time and cash you put into it. It's a pretty tough decision to make, but all i know is you better be extra carefull when parking it at home, you never now who this guy is and I also wouldn't take that much money cash, who the hell carries 10 legit g's on them cash and follows you home to offer it to you.

Jamie doesn't matter , your car is beautiful and you are still a PUTZ.... not in regards to not wanting to sell your car just based on the fact that you are a PUTZ....

Your car is Sweet and if it were mine I don't think I would be able to part with it so soon ....

Don't park it outside, heated garage!

Prices are estimated for me to build another. I know some parts you can get a little cheaper. But the overal condition of the car is most important.

First owner 93 Civic SI with no rust, oil sprayed every year. No accidents, 84K on the motor. Hard to find in this shape.=$priceless!
Body Kit = $1700
Rims= $1950
Brakes= $1300
Paint and body work= $4000
Wings= $700
Polished Gas Cap= $140
HID headlight conversion= $400
Wrapped/Dyed interior=$1300
Other mods=$1000
Stainless bolts=$100
Miscellaneous=$who knows
Factor in a car that is in the shape mine is in without modifications=$???$6000-$7000 (correct me if I'm wrong)

Total=$12590 without the price of the car.

Definately not worth it IMO.

Or I could just leave it stock, H22 swap with forced induction and be one of the fastest civics. Would I be one of TCC's most respected then?

As far as the selling it now, yeah I'll regret it down the road but I want to enjoy it for a long while. I didn't dare tell my wife of this because she would have signed it over on the spot!

It hasn't worked for Ray. He gets no respect from us, what makes you think you'll get it?

Supposing you were to sell it... how much would you have accepted, if he had've offered you more than the $17,000?

BTW, I also think you made the right decision.
