Ann Coulter

Her famous line “Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslim”. On Monday she said her speech at the University of Western, and it caused some controversy.

I wish I was there, because it sounded like an entertaining speech..ha ha ha!

Entertaining? more like disgusting.

"Muslims should not banned from flying.....they should use their rugs to fly...."

Heard it on Z1035 this morning and was stunned that we have people OPENLY express their views like such and there is no reprimand.

I hope someone shuts her filthy mouth.

fine line between freedom of speech and hate rhetoric

can you go on the street and call Obama the "N" word? No. So where is the freedom of speech there?

I agree with you completely Steve.....there is a fine line.

I still think the speech would have been entertaining to me, I don't get offended, and I hate political correctness..
Come on, when she told that student to take a flying carpet instead, I laughed.
And then the camel comment made me laugh again.

what's next? that's the question....if we allow such hatred to be openly expressed, then we can only wonder what's next and to what lengths will ppl others while using the "Freedom of Speech" scapegoat.

And we wonder why people hate the West so much....

Would you have laughed the same if she said have Moses split the Sea for you to walk through? I think Jewish people would have taken offense to that no?

no. freedom of speech means freedom. freedom does not have limits.

people should be allowed to say whatever they want, whenever they want.

you don't have to listen to them.

you don't have to agree with them.

you don't have to respect them.

people who are upset at the fact that people have ignorant views are sensitive morons who need a smack in the face to wake up to reality.

we don't all get a long. why pretend we do?

ann coulter is an idiot though.

I consider myself to be pretty easy, but everyone has something that offends them. This lady is one.

I just find that she is on tv because she says useless stupid things and gets attention for them. If you ever listen to her speak, she really doesn't have a fact to base her opinions on (Its like listening to Sarah Palin, same concept). She mercilessly condemned Canada when we refused to participate in the Iraq invasion, using every silly stereotype she could find. Most people that watch this from outside the USA look and wonder what the hell the Americans are watching.

Its a scary thought that CNN and FOX, 2 of the most conservative mediums have the most power down there. No wonder many Yankees don't have a passport, and 20% can't find their own country on a map...

Exactly the reason why I originally said her speech would be very entertaining.

Her next stop is at a university in Ottawa, and I just heard on the news that the school gave her a warning about what she can and cannot say.....pffffft.

then why is it those that speak about against the Hollocaust (as an example) are swiftly quieted? Freedom of speech does not exist. If you think it does, then you need to take off your rose colored glasses and see the world through the eyes of those that have suffered.

I'm not upset that she has ignorant views...everyone does. The fact she was able to openly express them without any consequence is what surprises me b/c others have said less worse things and have been dealt with.

Also, If i heard about this earlier, I might have gone to her speeches. I'm not all for her, but it's quite amusing.
