Any cyclists here?
Who here rides? I'm looking to do some serious road training over the winter months to hopefully get back into shape to compete next season.
Anyone care to share their training cycles, what you've got, or any other relative info?
I'm also looking for places to get parts for cheap... I found a few on the web a couple years back, but I can't remember them to save my life.

hahaha... I probably have nicer trails up here...
I'm really looking for a shop that is trying to clear out (read dirt cheap) bikes... I did some work for a few shops and I know that markup is generally 30-40%...

I buy from Liberty Cycles in St. Catharines... great trails out that way too... used to race too... anyone else racing nowadays? If y'all think 30 kliks is rough, try the 24 hr o'adrenalin... pure fun...

Funny... I just started looking at bikes as well. So far I know I want a hardtail with disk brakes. Currently my options are GT Avalanche, K2 Zed 3.0, Cannondale F300, and Specialized P.2
Problem I ran into, the manufacturers don't list distributors for my area... or Canada for that matter.

Like I said b4, ride Cannondale... I've had many bikes from many comps... Specialized, Rocky Mountain, Trek, GT et al... Once I bought Cannondale, there were no others... I luv em but that's just me...
As for the F300... don't do it, save up for something higher on the ladder... I'd suggest an F700, but, they don't make them anymore, if you can find one in a shop, grab it up... good middle of the road bike, otherwise go for a F800, with disc and a lefty... great front end...

you want a good deal? I have a trek 6700 (I think) that's been used for maybe 100kms... I think it's a 2002 model...
I paid almost $1600 for it last spring, I'll sell it for $500... it has new Velocirator tires on it now as well...
It's a 19.5" frame... no disc brakes, but you could put some on and still come out with a good deal.

If anyone wants a scrappy old beater, I still have my first Specialized Hard Rock, bike taking up too much room for nostalgia... may trade for something... around 100$, it's still in ridable condition... on board comp. extra slick rubbers for you road folks... specialized team controls...
