aahhhhhhhhhhhh
Toyota are all set to announce that they will be running on Bridgestone rubber in 2006, despite comments earlier in the season from Chassis Technical Director Mike Gascoyne that his preference is to stay with Michelin tyres.
Toyota spent 2001 testing hard before joining the Formula One circus in 2002. The first three seasons would yield little in terms of results, but this year the team has hit its stride with the Mike Gascoyne TF105 chassis and the driving talents of Jarno Trulli and Ralf Schumacher. The team may not have won a race yet, but has secured four podium positions so far this year and sits a firm fourth in the constructors’ championship.
Speaking today to Belgian Television, John Howett, President of Toyota Motorsport, confirmed that the German-based team would move to Bridgestone tyres in 2006.

toyota will fall behind tomorrow. their race pace sucks. kind of like the opposite of mclaren before where their qualifying speed sucked while their race pace was strong. toyota will make a big mistake by switching to BS next year. i don't think they will do that well at all. they're always the first to test and develop for next year. they're good in the first few races until everybody catches up. how do you think they're going to dominate the sport though. they will probably produce a good car but they don't have the drivers to take their car to the front and stay there. button is inconsistent, and sato is wild. trulli's qualifying speed is real good but again, he falls behind during the race, and ralf just plain sucks. he's like a watered down michael.

Sato is a f-u-cking g00f and should never drive in f1 again.
Congrats Kimi.

pizzonia was stupid, i have no idea what he was trying to prove. he was on slicks and he should've known better. same with sato, i honestly wanted to see schumacher on the podium because i think it couldve been a strong possibility. nice job by kimi for looking after his tires in the opening stages and then showed his true pace when it really mattered. this year was another good race at spa.

lol.
After the schumacher and sato accident...they said they were going to investigate it...and the announcers were like "maybe cause schumacher hit sato in the head" I didnt follow up on that...anyone know anything about this?

the ferraris looked good, they made the correct choice on car set-ups, plus bridgestone inters are better than the michelins.
as for toyota switching to bridgestones, not like they have much of a choice. michelin is trying to offload a couple of teams for next season.
and how is alonso winning by pure luck? he has 6 wins just like Kimi, BUT only 1 dnf in montreal. McLaren sacrificed reliabilty for top speed, which isn't smart since you can't win a race if you don't finish it.
anyways JV had a good race, im also proud of Tiago Monteiro of Jordan on an 8th place finish. porkchop representin!!!!!

so every car that's fast sacrifices reliability for top speed? how the hell did ferrari dominate for 4 years and breaking all sorts of records? mercedes just doesn't build very reliable engines for mclaren. mercedes has always been the weak link in mclaren with their reliability.

I just love watching Kimi drive from the onboard camera...there is a noticable difference in his driving style...so smooth makes it look easy...

I used to be into F1 about 10 years ago. Nigel Mansell was my favourite driver. It doesn't seem very competative these days so I don't watch it as much. Ferrari and other big teams have such awesome cars that other small teams have virtually no chance.
I feel that alot of the results of the races are based on the car and not the driver. Ferrari will still win most of the time even without Schumacher and Villeneuve (an awesome driver in Indy) will continue to lose if he stays with the ****ty teams. If they switched teams, Villeneuve would own F1.

BMW bought out Sauber so if Villeneuve stays with the team in the long run he will have an opportunity to win again!

usgp was stupid, i don't understand why the FIA didn't let michelin to ship in barcelona spec tires which could have survived the g load on the high banking corner. instead, this stupid action killed F1 in the united states. ferrari just said no because they knew they couldn't win this season and decided to jump on it. it would've been such a great race if all cars had raced. ferrari were scared because even with barcelona spec tires, they're still much better than their ****ty BS (bull****) tires .

it has more competition but in terms of technology wise, F1 is faarrrr superior. those nascar drivers are a bunch of goofs always horsing around. imo i can't stand watching oval racing. as much as i like to see a lot of overtaking, on an oval track it just plain sucks. i prefer to see 2 cars going at 150mph+ and 1 out braking the other to like 40mph to pass the other.
