Any Insomniacs out there?

I have the worst insomnia. I never sleep, but tonight is really bad. Can't even stay in bed to try and pass out.

Anyone else there an insomniac? I mean real insomniacs. I've been the sleepless wonder for yearsssssssss. I think it's getting worse lately.

Right here brother. I have that **** to. Mine really pisses me off though. Its the oddest thing, i will get up every hour on the hour for at leats 30 mins or more. And then im all tired and its even harder to go back to sleep. Then for the past week i have been hallucinating while i sleep. I will be awake, yet half asleep, thinking im doing something, ie working and i get so tired yet i just cant go back to sleep. So then when i wake up the room looks like my work, it looks like i was at work in my room, its the oddest thing. But at the moment, my insomnia is the only real thing that i have.

nope, I sleep like a baby! I think I'd be so productive if I could stay up another few hours... I would make lunch to take to work the next day, maybe work on my distance ed. calculus class... it'd be great!!

why don't you guys start drinking till you pass out, or just self-medicate with some medicinal thc

if your insomnia is getting out of hand and as a last resort you should go see your family doctor and get him or her to prescribe you sleeping pills such as imovane. depending on the individual the drug has no side affects and its non-addictive.

I don't like taking pills. Even when I'm sick I don't take anything. **** never works on me anyways.

I don't drink, and can't do the thc thing cause it burns me out for a couple days (I know, it's really weird, but just can't do it).

what are you worried about? the toxicity of the pills? dang, some of the food out there that you eat is probably more toxic than drugs.

if you insist on not taking medication then maybe look into your current daily lifestyle. alot of food out there contain caffeine so try to avoid consuming those. i also heard that taking naps longer than 45 mins during the day can really screw your sleeping pattern at nights.

there are also natural remedies such as caffeine-free herbal teas called "nighty night" that can possibly help you fall asleep. good luck dude!

ur insomnia is most likely a symptom of an underlying psychological issue. go see a psychotherapist and get it resolved...or a sleep expert...gps arent experts so screw that. taking sleeping pills is only masking the problem.

edit: insomnia may also be a symptom of some medical disorder...a physiological condition...like heart problems.

uhh...go to a doctor and get help? Not sleeping will do a lot more damage to your body then taking some medication that will help you sleep. Sleep REJUVINATES (sp?) your body and you HAVE to SLEEP.

damn, what are you doing - churning butter??

yeah, no sleep can do neurological damage...

the way sleep works, this chemical builds up in the base brain at your spinal cord, and once enough of it builds up you get sleepy and during your sleep that chemical gets released into your body and processed. maybe something in your diet or whatever is blocking that chemical from having effect... have you ever taken any drugs, like mushrooms, ecstacy, speed, etc... cuz sometimes drugs can fawk you up permanently. if you have, share this info with your doctor cuz maybe he can help, and he won't call the puhlice cuz of doctor-patient confidentiality.

I used to be the worst insomniac. I had no control over my sleeping habits.

I started to control it with meditating, certain herbs and help induce sleep, and some other mental tricks.

If you want to get control of it you first have to figure out if it really is mental or physical.

If it's mental I can tell you about some of the mental tricks I use.
If it's physical I can suggest some things that can help put your body to sleep.

PM me if you want to know more.

I've never taken chems or shrooms or any of that crap. It's only been herbal for me, and that was years ago.

BTW, i doubt the po would even care if someone did some of that crap on their own hah.
