you can sit there and say nokia has better features but at the same time a nokia can never offer the type of email experience that a pearl can so in the end it all depends on what you're looking for.
I know, I was just being a jerk, lol. I realize the "blackberry experience" with the whole corporate email server, etc etc, can't be replicated easily (although MS is giving it a shot).

Although my Nokia E61 which connects to BB connect servers (among other types) comes pretty close to the "blackberry experience", mind you, not quite as intuitive I'd imagine still...

I just picked up the one available now to get use to it, was playing with a curve for a bit but it's not worth the cash for me.

Unless you have unlimited data plans or your company pays for ur data usage, BB are pretty useless IMO. But hey, your opinion is your opinion and mine is mine. Gotta love third party application support.

I used a palm for the longest time, I moved onto an XDA which was amazing for applications and the like 'cuz of the windows factor. Recently I bought a nokia e62 and except for the lack of wifi I cant believe I ever used anything else.

Palms were garbage
XDA was a glorified laptop
I wouldnt suggest anything other than the nokia - and the price is great too

i know lots of people who BBs on limited rate plans that find them very useful and probably couldn't get along without them now.
they don't need them to browse the internet or anything, pretty much strictly for e-mail.

not sure what the comment about 3rd party apps is about but email is kinda the whole point of a blackberry

why would you get one just as a phone unless its just a pearl

when it comes down to it, emails are TINY

its text only unless your downloading attachments so in reality a 5mb data plan is actually a pretty good amount of email per month

the average email you receive is probably 1.5 kilobytes or less because of the fact that its just text

add that up to 5 megabytes per month and figure out how many emails that actually is

really? whats wrong with symbian? I've been using it for a while seems rock solid, plenty of 3rd party support, pretty easy to use, multitasking, etc etc....

I agree Nokia in terms of phone design and built quality is near or at the top!...

I had a palm, I had no real problems with it besides its lack of features...I did like the form factor of it though...
