Any video editors here? Looking for good software.

I'm looking for video editing program that's not too simple like Windows Movie Maker but not too advanced. I'm not a newb, but I can't find anything online it's frustrating...
Looking for features like adding video layers, text while video is playing, and just a bunch of good transitions and effects.

Any suggestions?

There are a lot of choices out there.

How much you want to spend?

*crickets*

Avid, there are many version, media compser is your best bet. Adobe has preimere and after fx. You can use After fx, to, well, add after fx. It's like Photoshop for video.

Sony Vegas is another, there are a lot. Pinnacle (owned by Avid)

Boris fx, adds things like Adobe after FX, ther eis Avid FX which is boris continuem for Avid, so many choices, all very good. All very machine specific too. If you want something quick and easy, just to add text and effects, go with after fx. If you want an all round easy editor, Preimere, then Avid.

hopes this helps.

edit: some other stuff, Lightwave, 3d studio, xara fonts... these all can be used to enhance your videos. If you have a mac, then you would have Final Cut Pro to add to the mix.

Thanks,
I'll be looking into these, but Adobe Premiere looks alright and I found a bunch of torrents for it. Free software is always good software

So is After FX and Premiere the same thing or what? Or are they 2 different programs from Adobe?
