ok ive got a couple questions here we go...
Im looking into joining the army reserves in the armoured division preferaly as a gunner on a light armoured vechicle or tank...leopard or cougar...
What is the difference between a non commisioned officer and a commisioned officer...?
how often do i attend training to join the reserves?
Do I get paid?
Do i need to train out of Ontario?
What are my chances of seeing action?
Where should i go to sign up if i infact do?
How hard is basic training ?
how badly will i get my *** kicked?
i try to think of some more questions..cause i know i had plenty more yesterday ....
Thanks for you help

ok first one commissioned officer is 5 years(might be 7) a must in the service and must have a degree... a non commissioned officer only has to sign up for 3 years at a time non commissioned officers can't go up the ranks as high as the commissioned officers can.
reserves is 2 weeks a year and I think every other weekend (might be every weekend)
yes you'd get paid (not sure how much)
nope I think all training will be done in ontario (although I'm not sure) I know for the regulars (non reserves) training is in a big *** complex in Quebec, but for regulars the job is 24/7
seeing action well if our shores are invaded the reserves will be called up to regular action. reserves are just that reserve, only if needed and never over seas
signing up is on younge street east side just north of finch station between finch and steeles
basic training not sure about this still trying to find out where my military friend is ... but in the sign up building they'll be able to answer your questions for the physical to be accepted they check you out (full medical) and then make you do 10 push ups or something like that if you can do them then your in.
I don't personally know you so getting your *** kicked ...I wouldn't be able to answer that, also you'll have to worry about this if canada is invaded.
I hope this helps take care.

Glad to see your interest in the reserves.
Cpl. Lacuna
Governor General's Horse Guards (armoured - good choice!)
3 yrs.
Left three years ago, GREAT experience.
Any specific questions you want answered, Post or PM me.
There's a lot of stuff the CAF doesn't advertise in recruitment bulletins that you might like to know.
BTW, you won't run any Leopards unless you join reg. force, i.e. Royal Canadian Dragoons.
