well for cd tables I wouldnt go for anything less than a denon dns3000, cdj1200 or the new technics that just came out...and these guys all cost around 9-1500 each...then a nice 3 channel atleast mixer 500bucks

then its practice time...and more and more and more...u can get cheap gear and have to upgrade and upgrade, I say go big or go home

heheh first of all u gotta study your music prefrence .. engrave the way to hear a song in your head ... when u hear a song you should be able to tell how fast the song is (BPM) and im sure your plannin on spinnin CDs .. ill tell u this its not an easy thing you gotta just mix mix mix mix mix then sleep until you can make a full mix CD live and give it to ppl and have them say its good (not your bias friend) you gotta keep practicing ..

Don't play CD's, they're dumb. Any good DJ knows that Vinyl is where it's at.

Dumb haha good reasoning....hey you...CD your dumb

I can name off a few reasons why someone would go CD over vinyl

1) Alot cheaper
2) Easier to transport
3) Easier to find/burn music

most dj's i know dj in their basements for years and have other jobs to support thier dj "career"

be honest with yourself when you decide how realistic your goal is here, and know it takes a lot more effort and time than you appear to think

Exactly, I know lots of people that want to be Dj's but they never went along with it because they don't have that real drive and dedication. I know myself I wanted to give it a try but its something I would prolly never really do to its full potential, so I didn't bother.

I suggest you find someone with tables and see if you like it first before you even think about buying equipment

Ever heard a CD skip in a club? That's reason enough to go with vinyl. Plus, with vinyl it's like you're touching the music. It's just better. I can see hauling records being a b!tch, but that's about it.

And as far as the vinyl being expensive, you can get one of these:

I saw Jazzy Jeff using it, it sounds just like real vinyl.

as far as CD and Vinyl, both have the same chace of shipping, more so with Vinyl if the gooves are closer
