Hey guys i was wondering if anyone knew of a site that has windows 95 available for download onto sepreate 3and a half floppys.......i had it before......it takes 25 disks......but i dunno where to find it again......does anyone know where?.....cause i'm trying to fix my laptop...which has a lack of a cd-rom drive or support for one...............

Some may say time to get a new laptop........i say BUY ME ONE!....cause i'm poverty.....lol

anyway any help would be greatly appreciated.....or maybe a place where i can find another OS . . that i can get on disks.....

or if anyone knows how to split files.....or something like that....cause i have the '95 cdrom......but......?.....yah lack of a cdrom drive

wut kind of laptop is it? and how old is it? cant u use someone's cdrom drive as an external to urs?

i have a cdrw drive that can be used as an external as i have the cord for it. but my laptop's a dell and i believe it is only compatible with other dell notebooks. lemme know.

take all the files off of the cd and zip them up with old fashioned pkzip and unzip it onto your laptop and install glad to help if you need !!!

i know i have to bascially do like one or two files at a time.......but i dunno how to use this program.....how do u zip it up?.....

Why not try to DL Win98 from a news server? That way, at least you'll have a newer version of Windows, and you'll also get support for being able to add a cd-rom drive.

If you have enough hard drive space, you can DL Win98, it'll probably come in ISO format. And there are programs that allow you to create a virtual CD-rom drive to be able to read these ISOs.

WinRaR will extract the iso and just run the installion off the hard drive if you download so there is no need for a virtual cdrom.

another way instead of getting 25+ floppies, why not just get a usb pen off someone if ur laptop has usb or try a external 250mb parallel zip drive which you can find cheap now a days. another way would be to install using a network if you have a nic card on there thru router or hub, if you don't have a router or hub get a crossover cable or make one out of a regular CAT5 or CAT5E (RJ45).
