I disagree. While job mate is cheaper build quality (motor, construction etc) they are fine for most average home users. Why spend $150 on a cordless if your just not going to use it alot or put it through alot of abuse.

My friend has had a job mate 12v for a few years now and its lasted them fine. The only bad part about the cheaper drills is the unintellegent battery chargers. Most are a hard charge, so you have to make sure you take them off at the precise time, or else you can damage the battery over time and it wont hold a charge anymore.

With that said Mike I'm sure it will work out fine for you.

I've broken at least 10 mastercraft tools. But thats ok because they have a lifetime warranty and they don't ask questions. This one time i bougth a 1/2" drive 18" breaker bar and was back within 15 minutes because i broke it already, snapped the part where the socket goes right off....grrr i am soo strong...hehe. But i got a new one, no questions asked.
Cheap tools are ok if you know your only going to use them a couple of times. This is why i love princess auto. They're great for specialty tools that unless its your profession you will only use for a specific task once or twice.

Princess Auto is the bomb.

I can walk in with $20 and walk out with hefty bags of goodies And when one breaksd I can bring it back without my receipt and walk out a few mins later with a new one. Gotta love their policy.

Princess Auto does have really good customer service. They just built a new HUGE one about 3 minutes away from my house. And my brother got me some gift certificates for PA for christmas. Its bad, because i know when i go there i am going to spend twice the amount of the certificates. You can find the most random stuff in the surplus section.
