racing? pfft.

people who race on the street are idiots period. What most people dont understand is that although they may have cars that go very fast, they usually dont have cars that stop very fast...... AND THAT IS GOING TO KILL YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE.

Furthermore, the streets hold way too many unexpected variables... other cars, lights, pedestrians, pot holes, cops, black ice, road closures, accidents etc etc. you get the point.

just my 2cents

street racers are just brainless people... i don't care if they got skills or hey don'... racing on the street is just unfair to the others using the roads as well... its a public road, not a race track... if people want to race, goto the track... if they can spend $$$ rice up their ride, why can't they afford to host a track and race all they want... stupid kids...

personally, i drive little faster than limit... maybe 70-80 on 60 roads (depending on road condiion and if i'm familiar with the area)... i never race people and i just let those people be stupid if they want to... i'm just staying out... nowadays, kids just think racing on the street is cool!!! well, they are just all fools! its sad to see innocent people unluckily involve with racing accidents just because those kids has their brain down in their @SS!

personally, I think it takes more than just telling someone that racing is bad, which can essentially injure/kill innocent people it takes experience...hell i used to race around when i was 17 in newmarket where there wasn't any real danger of getting caught for me the tickets made me stop racing....but people will never listen I drive to yorkU from yonge and major mack every day and atleast 4-5 street racing opportunities...by modders like you and me...

e.g. someone rips by me, cuts me off, revs their engine, you wont see it stop...im telling you these stories dont matter to people who think they can drive, who think they can handle their car double the limit, who think they own the roads...its not that simple to make it stop even with this R.I.D.E crap going on people who have the money to drop JDM motors, Turbos, and modify the *** out of their car dont really care about tickets and financial losses it will ultimatly be their death or someone elses which will stop the nonsense. One by one people will cause accidents and kill people its just the way life is...we have to accept that these incidences will happen

as for all the people who soupe up their cars theres other reasons other than racing...personally I like to impress girls with my hot ride rather than risk my life or others...and i have style... my motives are much different than a racer but still experience will change peoples perspectives whether its

number one reason
1) crashing their car killing innocent civilian(s) or themselves which will positively eliminate another one of those punk racers..

2) killing their investment when insurance will not cover liability due to aftermarket modifications...and will likely be denied future coverage from future insurance companies (not too educated on this but I've been told)

3) and for me the expense of racing and insurance rising...im very glad i recieved those tickets and my thanks goes out to that cop...

just my 3 cents.
