Do you guys when you are driving normally do you drive with your foot over the clutch in between shifts, or do you put your left foot on the foot rest?
I’ve been told that having a hovering foot over the clutch is bad because the clutch pedal could be being touched by your foot causing slippage and premature wear to the clutch.
Also do you guys drive with your hand on the shifter when you drive or do you have both hands on the wheel?

1) don't leave your foot ont he clutch it will cause wear...
2) don't leave your hand on the shifter it will cause wear in the tranny.
I know this because I've replaced a transmission and a clutch ....
resting the foot beside the clutch is more comfortable anyways and having 2 hands ont e wheel is better for control of the car as well and much more comfortable

from my own habit i rest my foot on the clutch pedal. I dont see the problem because there is enough free play before it actually engages
As for my hand..depending on how lazy i am, i just rest it beside me on the seat...if i had an armrest it would be there haha.

I use the foot rest and hand on the shifter.
How does having your hand on the shifter wear-out the tranny?
I have a base model (CX) and it has a footrest, I guess you mean for ef's?
