I need a bit of advice and help for people that have done this in the past or presently doing it.

I have the 900 series Playstation 1 (grey model)
I just installed this mod chip here http://www.modchipkits.com/pages/psone.htm
It's a stealth chip and followed every instruction for installing the mod chip here ..http://www.modchipkits.com/manual/ps1/9001.htm

Everything was done perfectly and I can only get regular games to read and no burnt games to read. All the connections are fine, I took it apart like 5-6 times and everything is fine. The only thing I did was extend 2 wires b/c they were too short and soldered a piece onto it to extend it, could this mess things up?
I placed the chip on another large chip and two way taped it on so theres no contact. I also placed a piece on the top of it so theres no contact with the metal plate upon it.

Anyone have any suggestions or is the diagram I installed it wrong, I got it from the site I bought the chip from. Is there any other step they might have left out?

I also tried another method which is similar with the exception of two wires http://www.modchip.ca/install/ps/9001/9001full.jpg
With this method original and burnt games don't work at all!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

BTW Is there a way I can hook up an LED light to the chip to see if it turns on?

are you burning the games correctly.


chip can be fine its the way your burning that can be a problem.

I have like 20 games burnt and all the games are fine, They were burnt from years ago. BTW I have two consoles, my original sony is fine but it's the 5501 model and i've been playing all the games fine for over 3 years on it. 100% it's not the games.
