Chris, whatever it takes man
Nova, he might get slapped for that... they like it when I do it, but anyone else, I don't know if it'll fly
I checked out proparts.ca and there is not a single thing on there that I would put on my car... on that entire site. Maybe the bushings, but even that I can prolly score for cheaper than their cost

as for what we're selling at Autonation (for proparts) it's actually inventory we're trying to get rid of from my partner's shop (speedbump)... not so much performance related stuff.. (a few things), but mostly little stuff like bulbs, shift ***** etc.... just to clear things out
btw thanks for advertising Chris if you stop by I will hook u up with stuff lol...

Ya, ya...I seen your car SiRYO... it's tite... WTF is with the Ractive parts... I mean Ractive brake components... I didn't bother checking into it.. I was too afraid Not tryin to knock ur business, don't get me wrong, but I think it's a god damn shame to sell parts like that to unsuspecting buyers. You know better... I know it. Get into the high end stuff, and offer it at prices that are competitive relative to US prices converted, and then your business will boom. For the ideal model of what an online joint ought to be check optauto.com These guys have been around forever, and I've been a customer since I bought my Civic in 1998. High end (more or less) parts, amazing prices!! That ought to be the business model that needs to be set up in Canada. You have the resources, now just get the parts. optauto does do wholesale too, so look into that!

Oh, to clarify, I got no beef with the site setup, that works well... I understand it's not easy to put up all your inventory all at once. ...it's the parts you carry... and I know the **** sells right now, but that's a fad market, not a solid business plan to build on. Just trying to help

got a good point bbarbulo ... you chase fads and you end up like Iomega with the Zip drive .. worked out well till technology surpassed the company and they are scrambling to keep up ....
sell performance parts that are solid quality and offer great customer focus and business will come back ... sell the fad parts (reactive) and when the fad wears out (which it will, it's a long fad but it will wear out) you'll be left wondering where your customers went. it's best to sell great parts to people that way after they try them out and say "wow those work well" who will they come to for advice? you guys, in which case that customer asking advice is inviting you to sell something to them again ... repeat customers is what it's all about

I am pretty sure that Ed's business and site will take off soon as its just starting out. I am just glad they carry TYC instead of APC for headlights and taillights.
Ed - Does mike have any momo stuff hes selling?

TYC just came out with a one peice headlight for the 5th gen civic incorporating the headlight and cornerlight. I think even lights are a fad thing, but heck, they do bring in business... and at the end of the day, it's the bottom line that counts.
SiR_YO, if you like someone to be your parts/inventory manager when your business takes off... I'll consider moving to TO for something like that.

I think Bruno wants to move out to toronto really badly :P. I like the TYC elegante 6th gen coupe tails and projectors. They look really classy and arent over the top.
So anyone gonna go to autonation?

Chris... so-so... I do, but I don't... crime is real bad, all these thefts earlier in the summer, traffic is a bitch, but the car scene is happenin. Cost of living is high too... But I wouldn't mind helping something like this take off, cuz it does have potential. Not for too long though, I got other plans too...
What about those headlights Chris?
