wow, so I just got home from running the Cop Gaunlet from Erin Mills Pkwy/Mississauga Road up to Erinmills Pkwy/Dundas....7 cops! Stopped on the side of the road, BLATANTLY pulling cars over for cell phone use. They just stand there and watch as you approach them, then point you to pull over....BRUTAL! ....But about time, I say.
One of my clients at work is a sergeant in TO Police, she says they have been told to be ruthless for the next few weeks, to almost "shock" people into it...it's worked on me - no way in hell I'm getting that ticket.

i think they should also pull you over and tow your car if you haven't had a solid 8 hours of sleep in the last 36 hours.

sorry, you're wrong.

http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/safety/impaired/

"Impaired driving, which means driving when your ability is affected by alcohol or drugs, is a crime and you can be convicted under the Criminal Code of Canada."

I never said that, but the ministry of transportation did state on their website that the definition of impaired driving is based on intoxicants.

You forget there is reckless driving, unsafe lane changes, speedings, not signalling, etc. There are a lot of charges you can get that have nothing to do with "impaired driving" and everything to do with unsafe driving.

Including talking on a cell phone.

I was further mocking the government's plan, but I guess it went over your head.
