Just to give you all an idea of how fanatical I am I have Uniteds crest tattooed on my right shoulder and I am adding all 3 trophies (epl, fa cup, and european cup), my license plate is Red Devils, and I wanted to name my son Beckham.
If my wife and I are ever to have another son his name will be Ryan Eric Beckham, for giggs, Cantona and beckham.

My father wanted to name me after every member of the 1968 United starting lineup with Duncan Edwards thrown in from 58.

From the BBC website (a great football page, BTW):

'Bookmakers are offering odds of 11-4 on Beckham signing for another club before the first Premiership match of next season, and there are now Real shirts on sale outside the Bernabeu with 'Beckham' printed on the back.'

Oh ****!

Fingers crossed, but even a BBC poll with 28000 votes cast vote 67% for Ferguson to cash him in!

I love Celtic and Rangers. Really happy for Celtic that they are in the UEFA Cup final.

Can't help thinking, though, the at the UEFA Cup is an 'also ran'. No disrespect intended (Lazio and others are first class teams), but when Liverpool won a couple of seasons ago, it hardly made a blip on the radar. It's all about the Champions League. I'd go as far as saying the CL is bigger than the World Cup. The Real/Man U match was billed as the biggest for years, and it was the quarter final!

If anybody wants to hear what it's like to win the CL, click on http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/, then click 'Listen'. The BBC Radio Player will popup. Click on 'The Real Alex Freguson'. About ten minutes in, you'll here the commentary on the last five minutes of the 1999 CL final. Unbelievable excitement. Really thrilling.

David Beckham's dad believes that his son will not be leaving Manchester United at the end of the season, contrary to tabloid reports linking him with Real Madrid.

The Reds winger came off the bench to score twice on Wednesday night, and since the speculation that he will be sold to the Spanish giants in the summer has intensified. There's no truth in the stories, insists Ted Beckham.

"I don't think he wants to go anywhere. He loves it at United - that's where his heart is," Ted told the Manchester Evening News on Friday.

"On Wednesday after the game he told me he was disappointed, devastated really, about not being chosen for the game. I think he should have played, but I would say that being his dad.

“The other night, I’m not being funny, most people including me believe he should have been brought on at half time at least. He changed it round and more started happening when he got on the pitch.

"Sir Alex Ferguson usually gets it right, but this time I think he got it wrong. He made a difference when he came on and hope he stays in the team on Sunday against Tottenham, where I have got a few mates, and I hope David puts three past them."

Beckham senior insists that David has never spoken to him about moving abroad, and that he will be at Old Trafford next season no matter what the media say.

"My gut feeling is he will stay. He never said a word to me about Madrid," he continued.

"He’s never said he wants to leave United and all this stuff in the national papers is just nonsense. He has been there eleven years.

"Everything gets blown up. All that stuff about a boot being kicked in the dressing room. That was built up into something it wasn’t.

"There are tempers in the dressing room after games and this sort of thing happens."
