epic fail...and lies, a text message is what? 0.1kb?? how could that possibly be 'using up capacity' both of them offer unlimited email plans for $15 and unlimited surfing options for cheap....I call bull ****...
its like saying why should someone OWN a phone (no plan) and receive free incoming calls ... same crap ... why should someone who doesnt pay for text get free incoming txt ... makes no sense! providers are realizing it now ... good for them (Y)

You don't control whether you receive them or not, you can ignore calls

You pay a ridiculous amount when you send them (like 30 times the cost of their rip off pay per use data rate), your most likely going to reply to a text you get...

Regardless, one more reason not to give business to Bell...

Guys, i have the Telus Motorola Mike I885 and for the past few years i am paying 10 dollars for unlimited text messages incoming and outgoing. Its funny because yesterday they called for to change my cell plan.. I said nope.. If i hear that my plan is changed or my options have been removed or changed i will sue you people... Telus, Rogers ****ing rediculous now. Virgin Mobile offers some real good cell plans... Too bad we cant get like cingular or tmobile and what not down here to compete against these ****ers so we can get cheaper cell rates.. .

Most contracts you sign say they can change it whenever they want, I don't think you could sue.

Ya, rates are high...but these are all public traded companies...if you think they are robbing the public, WHY DON'T YOU BUY THEM...

Even though you have been paying for the service for the past few years in the service agreement you signed it clearly states they can change the pp fees and features at anytime, hence the reason they are charging for incomming txt messages..
