best carwash?
So where do you get your car washed?
I have only used the soft cloth one at Petro Canada, and it's not all that great. Costs $9.99 with gas, and after using it three times, once it left some weird green soap on the fender, today it just didn't get the dirt off the front bumper at all, really.
The coin-op places are good, and probably better if you get your technique down, but it's sort of a pain in the ***.. and the prices vary. there's a $2 place, but that only starts you with 2.5minutes, and i'm pretty sure another $3 place started you with more than that.
so what do you do? are there automatic car washes that do a GREAT job?

the price you guys pay for a wash is like 6.99-9.99, for $10 you can get fine details to handwash the car for you inside their heated garages (10$ tax in so it is well worth it). And plus, they hand wash it, then dry it and apply dressing to your winter tires (they need some love too). And you can always ask them to spray the wheel well and underbody while they are at it!

QUEENSWAY CARWASH
i know of a carwash where they only use the best waxes with soft cloth washers. i personally know because i felt them before washing my car. they use "turtle wax" and only use terry towels to dry your car.

Best automatic car wash I know of is on the east side of Avenue Rd. just north of Lawrence. It's like $25-30 or something for automatic wash and hand drying or super expensive for hand wash and detailing. But they do a great job.
When I drive by it I often see really nice cars there, AMG's, Porsches, Ferrari's, Cadillac's, M-Series, even Lambo's and of course "regular" cars like my Civic go there too.

Spot free coin wash in Milton. (Steels east of 25) Tri foam and tire shine. Best DYI I've found, not cheap but the spot free rince worked far better than Id bet on. And you can stop the timer when your washing with the mit.

I wash my car at home during summer time, from April until the temp. drops to below zero. Then I use the 2 dollar coin-op once a week.
First 2 dollars - soap + brush
Second 2 dollars - rinse and undercarriage, and wheel wells.
Sometimes, I use 3 dollar coin-ops, if I feel like it.

I've found the best Coin Op to be on Bathurst, just south of the 401. Nice Brushes, Big Timers, the different settings actually work, the bays are a decent size, they have a shop that sells all of your usual car cleaning stuff...
There's also an automatic wash there that is just a single bay. You park your car in the bay and the washer moves around your parked vehicle, making it completely touchless, so your rims wont get scuffed. 10 bucks gets your their deluxe wash.
