bicycle racing

if you race your bicycles on side streets can you get charged with street racing?

will the cops put a stop to it?

regardless, at least your insurance won't go up.

bicycles over 24" in wheel diameter are not legally allowed to use sidewalks, and therefore belong on the roads, and must abide by the HTA.

Bicycles are required to use hand signals indicating change of direction and such.. they are required to have proper reflectors and lights, and such.. therefore there are laws that govern their use and operation, and failure to follow those rules is outlined as well.

They are also required to follow traffic signs and lights, and the operator of the said bicicle can be charged accordintly for failure to do so.

more reason why bikes should have license plates and be registered. if nothing they can contribute $ to pay for the roads they use and **** they cause (ie running reds, hogging lans, causing traffic, etc).

MY buddy drove to a party one night up in barrie and got really smashed so he asked if he can drive a bike home that was in the garage, he said yea ok, just come get your car tomorrow. As he was driving home on the side streets, cop pulls him over and charges him with drinking and driving and it went on his driving license.......he now cannot drive anymore....

True story......

a bicycle doesnt have an engine there for it dosent count as a car and you can not get points or fines or suspensions on your drivers licence, maybe if it was a pocket bike or gas scooter or sumthing but not on a bike end of dicussion
