goods purchased on certain credit cards are automatically insured and protected. if you buy a bike on a credit card and it gets stolen, you can claim it under the insurance clause on the card and get compensation.
anyways, i noticed that people notice my MNBA platinum card the most, they always comment on the nice platinum colour it has a 15k limit, and makes me feel safe in case **** happens and i have to deal with an emergency, i use it for general spending. I use my other cards for regular payments and memberships.
to those who say credit cards are bad and should not be used: credit cards are a wonderful thing if used properly, just make sure you pay it off when they are due and not spend beyond your means. if you do that, they are safer and more convinient than debit and cash

ya, if you have the cash in your account anyways, paying the credit card is easy (and free)...and you don't have to make trips to the bank,
also debit is not safe at all, someone steals your pin and number, your money is gone, you have to fight the bank to get it back....
someone steals your credit card, you tell the company, and they get their investigators on it and deal with it.....big difference
nobody just "looses" a G...your right..

I don't really use it as a "credit card", since I've never paid interest on it, so its cost me nothing....more for convienience, and my bank only gives me so many free debits....

I use credit for everything. I have the money fo course, but when i have cash, im more entitled to spend it and also, there is insurance when you buy with your credit card. I don't think I've ever payed any interest to the credit card company. For me, the credit card is used for everything and anything.

Using credit cards is absolutely imperative in this world.
As ERTW mentioned, "you get interest free money until your next statement date plus grace period for the payment."
And, more importantly, without CREDIT, you cannot get loans for anything.. So say bye bye to that $30,000 car. Or be prepared to rent for the next 20 years until you have enough to buy a shack. Banks are reluctant to give you a mortage without a decent credit rating to go along with your salary.

ive never bought anything with my credit card without actually having the money in my bank account too.
i use credit all the time for the same reason as everyone else, very convenient and no fees.
with debit cards, lots of people have feed and are limited to a certain amount of transactions, etc.. (although theres none of that for me as long as i keep my balance over 1000)
and with credit cards i can collect points/rewards etc..
