Reading fiction is like reading pornography, historical fiction included...
I prefer non-fiction.
I just read this book:
Wow, really great book; very factual, good account of what is happening to modern China and India with some economic/political historical background to put the book in context...
I learned so much reading this.
The book tries to predict whether China/ and India will live up to their hyped success stories.
It is probably one of the most relevant topics one can read about if he truly wants to understand what is happening in global politics.
Its well written, but requires some (not lots) prior understanding of academic terminology with regard to political economy.
