borat doesn't make fun of jews, borat is ignorant and stupid anout jews.
cohen makes fun of a muslim country with his character. i'm all for it, making fun of anything.
no way a new tv show would be made that was like in living colour or old school saturday night live.
society is not progressing.
i would like to see cohen make an israeli character next. i'd be interested in what the ADL has to say about that. They did get mad about the 'throw the jew down the well' song

The "throw the Jew down the well" song is about making fun of red-neck hicks, which is hilarious. I agree, Cohen should make fun of a Hasidic Jew, then we could really confront some stereotypes. That would make me give Cohen mad-respect, ,straight up.

Curious to know how the ADL feels?
ADL and Borat
So yes, the ADL is concerned that some of us may not be able to handle the humour in this film. I hope I have appeased them by including this here.
They say:
"We are concerned, however, that one serious pitfall is that the audience may not always be sophisticated enough to get the joke, and that some may even find it reinforcing their bigotry."
Are you sophisticated enough to understand this film? I admit it takes a certain level of sophistication to to understand incestuous relations with your sister.
I was very surprised to find that the ADL has not taken a firm stance on this anti-kazahkstism, or anti-roma-ism or anti-Uzbekism. However, I guess as long as it is not anti-semitism, it is ok right?
Are there certain times when racism is ok? (I am confused.)
Admittedly the ADL does not represent everyone they claim they speak for. I guess they haven't been able to shed their own bigotry by not taking acting against political incorrectness.
Don't get me wrong, I am still going to see the movie. Thanks to Borat, we can start confronting our racism!

The ADL doesn't deal with real anti-semitism. They hate a group of semites.
Arabs are semites as well... ethnic jewish and arab blood is one and the same.
The ADL is a organization to look out for people making funs of Jewish people/culture, and to complain about it.
