thats funny though, a cockerspaniel is not going to rip apart another dog or bite so hard you can break a 2x4 over its back and not get it to release.

people make it sound like your can't even own the animal....all that is required is a harness when walking...is that so bad, its not like you must give up your dog or you must do so many things to own it....a muzzle, you can still walk it, pet it, whatever.

not standing for it....its your money if caught you'll be giving up...or sued if your dog bites someone with no harness = your choice.

pitbulls are very loyal dogs my gf has one its a big softy its scared of te rat we have it rund away and hides wen i het the rat out it has never bitten me or growled at me ever if he are wrestling around with a toy and the dog acsedently grabs a piece of finger or skinn whilst playing it stops and backs off and looks at u asif 2 say are u ok im sorry !!

the only time i have ever seen this dog agresive is i was going into the park one day taking her for a walk and this retard in the park has a huge *** doberman offleash in a publick park and it dosent like me it starts growling and charging at me and then my dog just stands there not even pulling on the leash maked this noise like its aboyt 2 kill someting and gets all hunched up hair all stands up on her back and the dobey stops dead in its tracks and runs away and then 1 seckind after she looks at me and starts bounsing around wanting 2 play in the park like the softey she is it was amazing i was soo proud of her

there are lots of kids in the park and they all want 2 pet her so i tell her 2 sit and they all come over and pet her poking in eyes pulling skin and ears and she jus sits there wagging her tail

They....like any other dog can be the biggest suck OR the meanist dog you've ever seen. It depends on the upbringing. I'd much rather a pit bull than a dobey or something like that. Like I said before it's the fact that Pit bulls have had more publicity. I personaly feel Doberman's are worse off than Pits.

my neighbour has to kids 3 and 5 years old....
she put her kids in the back yard and lets them play withmy dog for HOURS

my aunt just moved out of our house yesterdya but had been staying with us for 3 months prior
her daughter is not even a year old yet....
and she walks (yes, she already walks) all over the house

tugging on her skin
playing with her ears....tail....nose....
does my dog care? no.
my dog absolutly loves her.
she even uses her as a stool sometimes to climb on the couch.

now take my other aunts dog......

theres a lot of small dogs that are crazy vicious
and bite people ALL the time
MUCH more often than these few and far between "pitbull maulings"

the problem is....
those dogs are pussies and their bites dont do ****...
where as pitbulls bites........well thats another story.

why not ban other dogs that are capable of hurting people too when they are mis treated and beaten and neglected?

my dog has never even threatened a human being her whole life...
she does get mad when people ring the bell and she can see the silhouette in the door
and im pretty confident that if my dog felt that i was being threatened she would.......not be very pleasant about it
but if i ever say "easy..."
as soon as this complete random person comes in....who she now knows is ok
she will jump all over them trying to kiss them.....

theres some people who are COMPLETELY paranoid of dogs...

and played with my dog after seeing how friendly she is....

exactly, there are bad owners.. who have selectively bred dogs to retain their aggressive and lethal skills for generations and that resulted in pitbulls.. pitbulls are a man-made species, made to do not much else but kill. they are a fine example of selective breeding.

i dont think we should ban the breed.. dog owners should take classes and be licenced to be dog owners before they can own a dog. it really hurts me to see a beautiful husky or other dog which was made to roam free stuck in a house or tied on a leash.

this issue is too complex to be made black and white.. dogs are not like guns, they have personalities, and each one could be different

but we have to do something o protect kids.. if one kid is spared going through life disfigured and suffering from pain, then i dont care how many pitbulls need to die to make it happen.

i still fail to see how one dog breed being forced to have restrictions is the same as attempting wipe out (kill) an entire religion based group of people...

so if you have a pitbull you have restrictions...not the same as being killed or pooled to be killed because your jewish...alittle different.

I haven't read a great amount of information yet on this pibull situation but I do recall reading somewhere that pitbulls in the humane society and dog kennels will be put to sleep. Why? they are just awaiting new owners. Have they attacked the employees that work at the kennel???

IMO regardless of what this situation resembles, the goverment is a complete joke for taking these actions. I know for one this makes me want to save a few pitbulls rather then have them put the sleep for being a dog that "can attack"
